I have a Dropbox (free) account with 2 GB of space. Recently I joined a university and got access to University Dropbox of 2 TB space. Now, when I add the University account as "Add Team account" in the dropbox app on my PC (as I want to keep both dropbox) - every day dropbox removes the University account from My PC. The files are saved, but the folder is removed. What can I do to keep both the accounts in my PC without Dropbox removing them??
Please help !!
Hey @nikhilmathur, welcome to our Community!
Are you certain you joined a Business account? You mentioned you got access to a University Dropbox with 2TB of space, however that sounds like a Plus, individual plan or a Family plan.
Can you check your plan page and confirm for me?
Also, provided it's a Business account, are both accounts paired like so?
Let me know more!
Thanks for your reply. I am very eager to get it resolved as its creating a problem for me.
Its a University of Michigan account which is of 5 TB and I am not able to add it to my personal account. Just driving me crazy.
Hey @nikhilmathur, thanks for the speedy response.
When you say you can't add it to your personal account, can you let me know more?
Do you see any errors when you follow the steps shown on the Help Center article I linked above?
Hey Megan, i really appreciate your speedy reply as well.
Whenever I add University Dropbox, it gets added to my dropbox software on PC, but after an hour or so, I get an error saying " Dropbox account has been removed. Files were not deleted"
When i try to add University dropbox on the web version of dropbox I get the following error "Something went wrong" - image attached. Hence i am not able to keep the account from University added as a team or Add Team.
Hope i clarified.
Sure thing, Nikhil - take your time!
