Hey @KL11, welcome to our community! 

I’ve moved your post here, and created a brand new thread for you   
 
I’ll be happy to help you out with any information and steps needed to cancel your account! Can you tell me what type of account you have, and if you would like to simply downgrade to a free account, or delete your Dropbox altogether? Let me know! 

In the meantime, here’s some information you may find helpful: 

If you would like to cancel (downgrade) your Plus or Professional account:
  1. Sign in to the dropbox.com
  2. Click your avatar.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click Plan.
  5. At the bottom of the page, choose Cancel plan (more info here)  

To cancel your Business account OR Trial: 
  1. Sign in to dropbox.com with your admin account.
  2. Click Admin Console.
  3. Select the Billing tab.
  4. Click Manage subscriptions.
  5. Click Cancel your plan (more info here)
     
If you would like to delete your Dropbox account completely, take a look here https://www.dropbox.com/help/security/delete-account, or go directly to our account deletion tool here https://www.dropbox.com/account/delete. NOTE: Deleting a Dropbox Basic, Plus, or Professional account can not be undone.

so according to this downgrading is canceling ???

 

You can imagine how I am more than a little confused, afterall, i tried that downgrade thing and can still it says i am logged in.... if i deleted it, i wouldnt be logged in would i? seems a little like incorrect if you ask me.....

 

Every min i try to deal with dropbox it becomes more and more evident... dropbox does not care

 

i want to KNOW that its deleted and i wont be getting charged anything anymore because last month they told me my random charge after not even logging into dropbox for an entire year... was an anual subscription... now i find out thats a monthly thing and i clearly didnt delete it all properly because getting charged again after another month passes by...

Yes. Downgrading and cancelling the subscription are the same thing.

 

I've also changed your user name as there is no need for inapprorpiate langauge on what is a public forum. Same with the other threads - there is no need to spam multiple threads (some three years old). One is more than enough.

I have a basic account but have been charged £7.99 on my credit card why have I been charged. Please refund this amount into my credit card you have on file.

If you don’t recognize a Dropbox charge on your credit card, you can look up the email address and payment date associated with it with our credit card charge lookup tool.
 
If you’re still having trouble with this, you can always contact our Support team for an in-depth investigation.

Cancelling Payment for Other Dropbox Accounts on my Card

I have a small mobile business andin order to transfer files and allow some of the employees to work from home I've paid for Dropbox subscriptions for these individuals. Our arrangement has changed and I have a new work plan in place. I myself have a Dropbox subscription and would very much likel to keep it. However, I'd like to cancel the payments for the other subsriptions. How do I go about doing that? My card statements in no way differentiate one account from the other, and I cannot log into their accounts as they are their personal accounts to cancel the payments. I greatly anticipate your prompt responce.
