Dropbox files & folders

Our team utilizes shared folders heavily, but this morning the owner (P1) of the majority of the shared folders realized that he can't see any of them. He can see all of the folders shared to him, but not the ones shared by him. The folders in question are only shared to one other individual (P2) and she can see them and add files to them. It does show that P1 is still the owner of these folders.
P2 tried sharing them back to P1 with no luck.
We checked both dropbox.com and local sync and they are gone from P1's files on both. We also created and shared a new folder from P1's account and it shared with no issue and he could see documents added to it.
Thanks!

Hi @Hannah
I did do a search and the folders did not appear. There aren't any events corresponding to them, either. Even so, if they were deleted, it would have removed it from the sharee's Dropbox, and they are still acting completely normally over there.
Hey there @cgrace18, sorry to jump into the convo you had with Hannah!
Let's try one more thing.
Can you access our website, and search for the missing folder names or any example file names in those folders?
Do you see any results?
Let me know, and we'll take it from there.

HI @Megan -
Yes, I ran the searches on both the website and the desktop version with no luck. Multiple searches, both for the folder name and for specific files within the folders.
