Mac: re-installing DropboxApp after renaming the User

Mac: re-installing DropboxApp after renaming the User

The Mac User on which the App was installed, has been renamed (from admin 1). Since then impossible to reinstall it (uninstall/reinstall already done). Here follow the txt error. Any hint how to by-pass this problem? Thanks.

Hey @sTcA; welcome to our Community!

Can you please run the following command through your Mac's terminal app?

sudo mv ~/.dropbox ~/.Trash/dropbox.old

From there, restart Dropbox from the Application folder and then sign in and apply any Selective Sync settings you may have had prior to this reset during the sign in process. Your account will take a few moments to reindex the files and sync any pending changes.

Let me know if this helped!
