Would someone let me know what this message is about? It shows up just now when I try to access any files in dropbox through web login.
What browser are you using? Do you have another browser that you could try with?
Same problem and error message, "unable to communicate with parent window". All files and support help are locked and not accessible.
Please help.

Hi Gary,
I removed your email so it won't get picked up by spam bots. Are you trying to access the Dropbox website https://www.dropbox.com ? Or is this error somewhere else? What device are you using?
why does can't communicate with parent window come up when i try to open a file
I am having the same issue that says dropbox can't communicate with parent company. Why is this coming up, and what can I do to get my files and pics back so I can use them?
The problem, for my system, seems to be that Dropbox will not run or load completely with the version of Safari, 5.1.10 which I still use. But, it runs fine with Firefox 41.0.2.
Same problem here. In the rare occasion I'm forced to use DB, I'd inevitably bump into a panoply of challenging and frustrating experiences that make me want to run as fast as I can.
Begs the questions:
What does that message even mean?
Why am I not given any options other than "Gift DB Pro" and "Sign out"?
Why do I not see any of my contents?
Confusing UX, scarce value.
Can't help but wonder who is still using this dinosaur DB given so many free and better alternatives?
Would appreciate any feedback on this issue.
Safari on iPhone is the browser, updated as well
