Dear,
I want to disband my team in a Dropbox Business Standard account.
Your instructions https://help.dropbox.com/teams-admins/team-member/locked-state#disband state that 4. Click See next steps in the red banner at the top of your screen. 5. Click Cancel Dropbox Business and disband my team.
However, these options do not appear when I enter the Settings page of my account!
How do I get to the Cancel button?

This is not user friendly! There are 100 ways to upgrade accounts, to add more licenses, to pay more fees, all made very easy to sign up. But downgrading is an extremely difficult adventure.

Those instructions are for when your team is in a locked state, meaning, after you've already downgraded and you want to disband the team. Have you already downgraded your account? If not, these are the instructions you need to follow:
I did the suggested disband. Now files are destroyed even in directories not in EDI dropbox. Please advise
Hey @BamaSubvet, can you clarify what you mean by "destroyed"?
Are you getting an error, when trying to open them?
Were the files set to online-only, before you disbanded the team?
And are you able to access/open them on dropbox.com?
