An "Admin" suspended my account. How can I regain access to it?
Hello!
I'm logging in using a different email because the one originally connected to Dropbox is "suspended" or "marked inactive".
So I'm a freelancer, working with multiple clients. We share files via Dropbox.
Now, I ended my contract with this client in January, and somehow she ended up suspending my entire account rather than just removing me. I don't understand how it happened because it's just a shared folder, and now I lost my complete access even though I own the account and have premium subscription.
I have told her what to do to restore my account, but she's still not replying, probably because she was busy with her personal errands.
Is there anyway you can help?

Hey RedRaselom13, welcome to our Community!
If I understand correctly, you were added to a Business team, and your Dropbox account has been suspended.
Keep in mind that when you join a Dropbox team, you get the option to merge your account there, or to create a new account and keep files under a separate email address. It sounds like you chose to merge your account, which means that the team admin now technically owns your account and all files within.
In that case, only your team admin can unsuspend it on their end. After that, they can convert the account to a personal one instead.
I hope this clarifies, and let me know if you need further help!

Just to be sure, if she managed to convert it to personal account, will I still be able to access my files not connected to her account?

Hey RedRaselom13!
If a suspended Dropbox team member's account is converted to a personal (individual) account by their admin, the user should regain access to their files.
When an admin converts a team member's account to an individual Dropbox Basic account, the account is no longer connected to the team, and the user keeps all private files and folders, as well as any shared folders and files they had access to before joining the team. However, you will lose access to team folders and files with team-only permissions. The conversion is permanent, and the admin will no longer be able to manage the user's files after the conversion.
I hope this clarifies!

So it was un-suspended but it looks like she failed to disconnect it. I have told her about it, but it said she already disconnected by account. Does it take time before it becomes individual?
I'm worried because she might lose access to it since she said she cancelled her subscription. Will it be possible for Dropbox to assist me on this?

HI RedRaselom13, if the account still says it's a member on the Dropbox team, then it means they didn't disconnect it.
Could you ask them to try again to follow the steps to convert it to a personal account away from the team?
