200 TopicsDoes Dropbox scan file requests for malware? I also can't create file requests via the desktop app.
Dropbox Plan Business Are you a Team Member or Admin? Admin Do you have access to the email linked to the account? Yes Are there any devices connected to your Dropbox account? Phone, work laptop Question or Issue Our company has about 200 team members on Dropbox for business, and uses Dropbox File Request function and Shared links a lot for receiving/sharing files etc. from external vendors and associates. A question has come up recently in regards to maintaining our company's SOC2 certification and regards to data protection, does Dropbox has any sort of virus scanning capabilities/malware/phishing/ransomeware scanning/protection for files being uploaded through file requests or throughout its storage systems. Would like to know if there is already any known existing functions on Dropbox, or is there any future plans to this being developed. Microsoft Sharepoint has virus screening/malware etc capabilities so we are also contemplating replacing Dropbox file requests with uploads to sharepoint instead, and are wondering if there is a direct api to link Sharepoint to Dropbox, where files uploaded to a Sharepoint folder can be uploaded to Dropbox automatically. Something else on the side, in Dropbox desktop app, we used to be able to right click a specific folder and create a file request through the options listed, and it would pop up into the browser to create that file request link and the exact folder path would be prepopulated. Currently, I have to right click and view Dropbox on browser, and click create file request on the browser, and sometimes the folder path is not prepopulated, and I have to slowly search and browse through to get to the exact folder path (which is very tedious).22Views0likes1CommentAre "Team Paper Docs" related to the new release of Dropbox Paper?
Hello! Long, long time Dropbox user, first time community poster. We noticed that a new "Team Paper Docs" folder appeared at the top level of our Dropbox team folder, in the middle of the night when nobody works. Looking at the forum, I'm guessing it's similar to the people who have seen "Migrated Paper Docs" folders appearing (like this post: https://www.dropboxforum.com/discussions/101001017/unknown-folder-appearing-migrated-paper-docs/805075). None of our team uses Paper, but it's possible someone added a Paper file to a particular client folder in 2020/2021 but since deleted it. (the one folder inside "Team Paper Docs" DOES correlate to a project folder) In short, if this folder appearance is part of the long-standing Paper2020 update I've read about and this is normal, I would just like to confirm! While I'm not opposed to account password updates, I just want to ensure this isn't likely the result of a user's account being compromised or something. Thank you!Solved1KViews0likes7CommentsMy Dropbox account was deleted by a business partner. How can I restore it?

I had my personal Dropbox account long before it was connected to a business account for work. When the business account administrator removed me from their Dropbox, all of my personal files were deleted along with the disconnection. I have checked the Deleted Files section, but it shows that I have no files to restore, so I cannot recover them myself. These files were entirely my own and unrelated to the business. Is there any way Dropbox can help restore my personal files? I have a basic account so I can not email them.79Views0likes2Comments"Something went wrong with your team join request. Redirecting..."

I am trying to join a dropbox team that stores technical data for my employer. He has sent an invitation four different times now, and I still can't access the team. While the invitation pops up for me to join, when I try to join the team I get a blank page. Refreshing doesn't resolve the page, I've tried closing the browser and reopening the link, restarting my computer, and clearing all other app activity. If I open the link and reopen dropbox, it shows the invitation but does not add me to the team. I've tried logging out and logging back in, and that doesn't resolve the issue either. Any potential solutions would be great.Solved154Views0likes3CommentsWhat to do if my device ends up with malware.
I need some help, here's the thing, some time ago, without knowing it I ended up uploading a file with virus.. And I deleted the file.. After 24 hours the account returned to normal, I wanted to know how I can prevent this from happening again, because if it happens, spending 24 hours with everything blocked, is very harmful to me.77Views0likes1CommentI need urgent access to the files I had in a closed Dropbox team account.
Hello Dropbox Support, My name is Eldad from Eldad Photographers. I urgently request temporary access to a closed Dropbox Team account (eldadoffice Dropbox), registered under [removed]. Due to a major price change we canceled our plan. Exactly during that time, a war broke out in Israel, our work stopped completely, and I volunteered to help with search and rescue operations. In the chaos, important client materials remained online. These files are now urgently needed for legal and professional obligations. My current contact email is [removed]. Please help us recover access temporarily, even for an additional payment if needed. Thank you very much, Eldad Eldad Photographers [personal information removed per the Community's Guidelines]90Views0likes1Comment
