My entire Dropbox account has been deleted after sharing with another user.
I joined another Dropbox account for a project, and unshared after the project was over. This appeared to just permissions system, but now all my files and folders have been deleted. After looking at my payments, it appears my last monthly payment was refunded. I'm not sure what the hell happened, but it appears my whole account was erased and I'm losing my mind on how this could have happened. Did I transfer my account over to a different user? Is this even possible? I need to restore my files and don't see any way to access anyone by phone. Any help would be appreciated!
What are the functional restrictions of end-to-end encryption on Business Plus?
What functional limitations do I have with dropbox if I encrypt my data end-to-end (with my Business Plus subscription)? Are functions such as restoring previous versions of files still possible? Does Dropbox recognize attacks on my data despite end-to-end encryption? Thanks for your help!!!
I wanted to cancel my Business trial and ended up deleting my Dropbox account instead.
No clue what happened, so going to lay everything out here. Have a personal professional DB account, and upgraded to business as a trial, a business with 1 user. This creates two folders, your old personal file and the team folder. I didn't like how personal files are so close to business, i basically have my entire life in DB so wanted more separation and would recreate a business team account with my work email. Go into the business trial and cancel the trial. Which prompts you what would you like to do with the team files. There were no team files, I just created the account 5 min ago. There was only my personal files in a separate folder. So i hit delete permanently. My entire account is gone. It appears it permanently deleted everything and my account now says suspended if I try and login with my original email. I have a support ticket in, but currently freaking out as my entire life is in that Dropbox. I'm very tech savy and felt like that entire process was a disaster. If i have a personal account, and create a team, common sense would be the business and personal are separate files and not together. So once you close the team, you just go back to your personal account. Especially since my personal account was being upsold as "Give this a trial for 30 days"How can I prevent team members from sharing or downloading the data to use them as their own?
I am planning to start a work account with Dropbox, but my profession revolves around highly valuable data. My main concern is whether other users with access to the shared Dropbox account can download files without permission. If they do, they could potentially use the downloaded data to run their own business and generate revenue, which would be a serious issue. Our Family manager accidentally joined another team and now we can't access our files.
Hello team, One of our external collaborators started a free trial and invited as on our Family Account email address. After we accept the invitation, we see that we got refunded for the Family Plan and the Collaborator is now admin on all our dropbox content and we lost access to the online dropbox files. How is possible that our account after accepting this invitation got suspended and he become admin on our dropbox? Can someone from support help us here as we and our family members cannot access our files? Account : The One Mind. Thank and appreciate!
My team has been disbanded following your Sales reps advice.
Team, I have lost my team folder and members are signed out, I have upgraded to Dropbox Business but can see in my account. I have all proofs/chats what your representative told me to do. Now sales persons are not replying or support is not helping me. I am panicked since yesterday. Nothing is working and no help. I also got this email with subject The ForumIAS Academy team has been disbanded on Dropbox. I need my team folder back like this
I don’t have permission to restrict access to one of my folders, even though I'm the admin.
I tried to search for an answer to this but came up empty. First, let me say that I am the Admin of the account. I only have one Dropbox account, and I've tried to restrict access to a folder from both a computer and from the web interface. I have a folder in a subfolder (that is shared with others in our company), and I cannot restrict access to the subfolder. Clearly I'm doing something wrong, but I cannot figure out what. On a computer, I created the folder inside the parent shared folder (shared with all team members), but I want the subfolder to only be available to me. On a computer, it shows the "find admin" link, and when I click it, it brings me to the team page on Dropbox.com and shows that I am the one and only admin.
