Don't see why I have to ask for help in a public forum. So I'd like someone from Dropbox support to get in touch

I changed the email address on an account. Seems to be ok but 2 months later I am still getting emails to that address from dropbox. Can't stop receiving them using the link in the email because it wants you to sign into the account which I can't because an account with that email address does not exist.

Just to be certain, have you tried logging into Dropbox using that old email, in the case that somehow it is still registered under a different account?

I could not log in with the old email address the system wanted me to create a new account.

So what I've done now is create a new account with the old email address. Set all the email notifications to off and deleted the account.

I hope that will work. Perhaps the developer at dropbox could fix the system so that when the email address of an account is changed the old is either removed or replaced in the system. ie Don't keep both.
