Dropbox thinks my employers account is mine

Dropbox thinks my employers account is mine

I have a standard account and that is fine.  My employer has a Dropbox account for me to drop files into and when I do,

Dropbox thinks my employers account is mine and won't sync my files saying my dropbox is full...yet this work folder is HIS Dropbox account, not mine.

Any help with this? Or knowledge?

Is this a shared folder? If so that uses the space of everybody in the share - if you can access it to edit it then it uses your quota. So, it isnt you working on your bosses account. They need to pay for you to upgrade, or, you need to delete things.

If you need read only access get a shared link instead as that doesnt take up quota
