Hello. I have read how to move my DropBox folder from the C: drive to another drive letter on the same computer - sounds relatively easy. However, not mentioned in the literature is: Will moving my DropBox folder from the C: drive to the 😧 drive affect the other users on the account?

We have several users on the same account, logging in with the same credentials, and most them are not saving the files locally. The computer in question is the account owner and is saving all files locally. So, I am checking if other account users will lose access to the files when I the move is made.

I know moving my DropBox folder from the C: drive to the 😧 will prevent DropBox backups but we have another backup.

Thanks for the info, if you move the Dropbox folder to another location on your computer, it won't affect the other users in the same Dropbox Business team.

Please immediately stop doing this - especially now you just announced it publicly. It is against the Terms and Conditions of Dropbox and is cause for accounts to be permanently banned (i.e. deleted without notice and all data removed).

Every user must use their own log on and their own account and use shared folders to populate between them.

Hi @SpartanMike, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Just to clarify, are you all sharing the account credentials for a single Dropbox account, or do you have a Dropbox Business team or shared folders, and have different emails?

This will help me to assist further!

Hi Jay,

We have a DropBox Standard account with 3 unique logins. Sorry, I mis-spoke but not everyone shared they have a login with their email addresses.

Thanks,

SpartanMike
