I got a message that I have only 2 GB of space; where did my 16.75 GB go?

hi! first of all I am quite pissed as there's no way to contact anyone on dropbox. second, on 2019/09/29 I had 16.75 gb of space gained in about 8 years by inviting people to join dropbox, and now I got the message that I have only 2 gb. what happened?

There were written nowhere that the space had some expiring date, and I didn't sign that I agree to reduce the space i gained by basically ''selling'' other people's sensitive data.

I want my space back?.

thank you.

Hey nikki6, welcome to the Dropbox Community.

Did you receive an email about this? Did it say that your Dropbox is full?

If you could send me a screenshot of that message, that'd be really helpful.

Also, what do you see if you check the plan tab of your account settings? Do you see your extra space there?

    Keep me posted.

    Hi Hannah,
Yes, I received an email where it's written that my Dropbox is full. My current plan is "Dropbox basic". I'd like to attach a screenshot but I don't know how to do that. I'd like to attach a screenshot where it's written that I gained 16.75 gb of space by giving to Dropbox other people email addresses, but I can't also. Pls advice. Thanks in advance.
    Best regards.

Hi nikki6, could you attach a screenshot showing your quota on the site in order to see the current total?

    Hello Hannah,

I have a similar issue where I had 2.8 GB and now it's down to 2GB.  Please advise how the 800MB was lost from my account?

Hey TabsFolders-Com, hope you don’t mind if I jump in.

When was the last time you were able to see the correct amount of storage on www.dropbox.com?

Can you also go here, and send me a screenshot of what you see on that page?

I had a personal account; then tried dropbox team and somehow my account was imported into the team; then cancelled the team account.  Screenshot attached.

HI TabsFolders-Com, the 2.75 GB is the correct quota amount as it shows your bonus quota.

The 2 GB at the top is only the standard amount for the Basic plan, and doesn't display any bonus quota earned.
