Creative cloud deleted

Creative cloud deleted

In august of 2021 my adobe account was somehow deleted . I suspect by an adobe representative who didn’t understand that I wanted to cancel my pro account as it offered no benefit for me . Or maybe it was the root cert expiring on Mac cpu ? I don’t know . All I know is that adobe takes ownership of stuff even if it wasn’t created in adobe . So my old creative cloud was also deleted and to this day I keep getting a pop up that creative cloud is damaged or missing with the option to repair . The repair button doesn’t work . I downloaded a new creative cloud app but that doesn’t do the trick either . My Mac shows possible places that these deleted files are but I can’t access them . Adobe is synced to my Dropbox. If I un-sync them , do I lose the possibility of the files being recovered in Dropbox ?
Any other ideas or educational information would be appreciated too .

Hey @Roctown, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

When you say unsync them, can you elaborate a bit please? How exactly are you going to be doing that?

Also, can you clarify if you're able to find the files in question on our website, be it in the homepage or your deleted files page?

If not, can you see any sign of them in your events page?

Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there.

Walter ,

Unsync them by taking adobe out of the third party apps section in settings of my Dropbox .

I am not able to locate the files on or in Dropbox but I do have files on my Mac mini that I cannot open which have Dropbox labeled as an owner who can read and write .
So when I get the pop up “ creative cloud is needed to fix this issue , however it is missing or damaged , click repair to repair or restore creative cloud “, it makes me think that I need to somehow successfully repair creative cloud then the files might come back and be available in Dropbox. Or If I unsync the two programs, maybe Dropbox will have sole ownership and the files will become available.
I’m just guessing at this point . Maybe these files are just corrupt now and no matter what I do they won’t ever come back .

Can you maybe send us a screenshot of the exact error/pop-up you're getting and another one showing how those files look on your end?

Thanks so much @Roctown!
