Locked file forgot Passwords

I cant open a file because i forgot the password what can i do . File is protected by a password but it’ s been a while since i used it si cant remember it 😔

Is this the file itself or a link to a file?

 

If its the file itself then you need to ask whoever makes the program that the file is in for help. Dropbox cannot assist I'm afraid.

It was a file in word that i transfered to drop box i am the only one on this box 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
