I can login successfully, but needs me to check 6-digit code in email. Before immigration, login dropbox never needs me to check 6-digit code in email. After immigration, it needs me to check 6-digit code in email. (same computer) My email account was disabled (long time no use and I forgot the password), I can't login to my email to check the 6-digit code. I had a pro account (paid thru Oct.) but had to delete the files and deactivate the account. After review, I realized there were some files that I didn't have saved locally. Now I'm trying to find a way to reactivate that account and access the deleted files. I was told to sign up for the account again using the same email address and sign up for a pro account again. Now that I've done that I still can't see any deleted files. Any suggestions?Solved39KViews0likes30CommentsDropbox acquires Boxcryptor. What will happen to all those files that have been encrypted?
Hi As most will know, dropbox has purchased boxcryptor. At this point my question is, what will happen to all those files that have been encrypted with boxcryptor ? Should they all be decrypted and wait for communication on how the transaction will be handled by Dropbox ? Boxcryptor was used to encrypt files using other cloud services, will this change ? Thank you very much RiccardoSolved36KViews3likes148CommentsOld account closed due to inactivity. What can I do?

Hey I received the following email yesterday, sent to the email address used for registering my Dropbox account: Hi [first name] [6-digit code] is your one-time Dropbox security code. Happy Dropboxing! - The Dropbox Team However, 2-factor authorization is turned off for my account. I just checked it again, 2FA was, and still is, disabled. A cursory glance at the source suggests the email was sent by Dropbox. I know sender addresses can be spoofed, but the URL in the email was the real one, so I don't see a reason to believe it's a scam/phishing mail. My question is then: Are there any other cases (other than on accounts with 2FA enabled) when Dropbox would send a one-time security code by email?Solved19KViews3likes22CommentsNot receiving verification email, how can I verify my account?

Hello, I can no longer access my Dropbox account since the 6-digit code required to login is being sent to an email address that has been deactivated by my previous organization. I have read several posts in the community forums but so far none of them have been helpful. Is there a way to submit a support ticket or another way to authenticate my identity to recover my account? Here is a summary of my situation: 1) The email address linked to my account is not accessible and cannot be reactivated. 2) I have no devices linked to my account or that are logged into the account. 3) I know my password for my account and have successfully inserted it into the login page. 4) I am only on a Basic plan (free account) Any help is appreciated. Thank you.13KViews0likes5Comments
