How can I completely disable Smart Sync?
How can I completely, 100%, disable Smart Sync so that Dropbox will always download all of my files? The settings I have found all apply to NEW files and seem to have no impact on old files. What I would like is to set my Dropbox to behave as if Smart Sync does not exist or has ever existed.Solved75KViews30likes66Comments
My Selective Sync settings don't show all my folders on my Mac.
Unsure why, but a folder I generated online and then sent some files to, won't appear on any of the computers selective sync window. Using Mac latest version, 3.8.3. I can't untick that folder. I Can not link my Yahoo mail to dropbox . Yahoo have removed the upside down v (next to the Attachment icon) that gave the option to Share from Dropbox . Does Dropbox now not support Yahoo mail or am I doing something wrong. Thank you for any help.Solved28KViews2likes20Comments
Mount Dropbox as external device
Hey Forum, I know this is getting old, but I can't belive it has no solution. I have a VPS with 40GB hard drive. I'll need a DropBox account with an insane, size of some terrabytes. Now I want obviously reach these files from the VPS (CentOS 7 Linux without GUI) via a folder. So how can I mount the DropBox share like an external drive, so it is not syncing with a local folder. I would do the syncing on my own with copying my files from the VPS to the mounted folder. I would say, the copy it self is the sync? So how do I do that? Thanks in advance! Transfer ownership of personal account to another user
My architect loaded (A LOT OF) his files onto my personal Dropbox. Now, instead of having to transfer them all over to his own account, he wants me to transfer ownership of the account to him. He's now purchased a business account. I have no problem transferring the account to him, but at some point, I'll want to use my personal Dropbox again. PDF "view only" share link continues to allow editing
I have edited both my profile settings and the pdf settings specifically to generate a "view only" link. However, every time I go to share the link I continue to see on the top bar that the pdf is editable. Not only is it editable but anyone can edit it for everyone. What do I need to do to change this? I have even logged out of my Dropbox account and used the link to see if it changed anything, it did not. My PDF is clickable with links but, I have tried other PDf's that were not to see if it changed anything and it did the same thing. I need a view only link. Can I use an email forwarded for 'Email to Dropbox' feature for attachments?
I've enabled the email to dropbox feature and can receive emails to long email address supplied. I've tried setting up a shorter email on my custom domain to auto forward to the long address but it never seems to receive the attachments. Is there a limitation to this? I would rather share a shorter more memorable email address.
