A friend of mine accidentaly deleted her dropbox account, i don´t remember exactly what plan she had but she did have more tan 2000mg available in her dropbox. It´s really important to recover that account, and i was wondering if there's a way to reinstate de account or recover the files.46Views0likes1CommentAfter a system restore, it seems that I now have two Dropbox folders. After messing about with file restore, I ended up having to run system restore to undo my poking. This has left me with 2 copies of Dropbox 1 renamed to Dropbox (Old), all the files appear to be there in both, so Can I just delete 1? and if so does it matter which. How about if Dropbox connected a link to their chat button? It doesn't respond, not in English anyway.. Also, my employer seems to have done something (during updating) that removed all my files I've been saving for the past 24+ years, but because Dropbox doesn't actually have an email address that anyone in the company monitors, I can't get any help with my issue. So if my files were accidentally deleted, the clock is ticking down to when the 30-day retrieval period will be over, and I can kiss all my files goodbye.156Views0likes3CommentsI'm paying for a Dropbox subscription, but there are files missing from my account.
I paid AUD30 dollars a month to keep photos, documents and videos of my departed father safe. The money was automatically deducted. I went to my Dropbox account and in horror found it was 2G plan with a few photos, videos and documents. I checked my bank and last deduction of was in July this year. What on EARTH is going on and where are my files on my father???? I tried to use contact email or chat but Dropbox doesn't allow this for 2G subscribers. Fellow DropBox Community Members, If you don't already know this, Third-Party AI is automatically set to "ON" without our permission. To FIX THIS: Go to your Account Icon > Settings > Third-Party AI and toggle OFF. Why DropBox thought it was a good idea not to be up front about this change is beyond me. But it's *very shady* and I'm not happy about it! I'm a longtime customer but I know I have other options and will leave if DropBox gets way too cozy with Third-Party AI folks. She can view folder shared with her and its contents, but yesterday her name suddenly been missing, and we would like to find out how did it happened. I just created a new personal Dropbox account and made a typo when I entered my email address. I can't edit it without verifying and I assume I can't verify because the email address is incorrect.
