Hi There! I’m looking for help regarding my Dropbox account, which I’ve had for over 8 years. Recently, I tried to log in and discovered that the account has been deleted. This account contains a significant amount of personal and client-related videos and photos, and losing access to it has been devastating. Here’s some context that might help: Two months ago, my business partner locked me out of all accounts associated with my work email due to a messy separation. My Dropbox account was originally a personal account, created before I joined the company, and was not paid for or created by the business. At some point, I switched the account’s email to my work email, but I didn’t realize this until now. I suspect my former business partner may have gained access to the account and deleted it. I’m hoping there’s a way to recover the deleted account and its contents, as well as change the account’s email address to a personal one that I control. This account is incredibly important to me, and I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide in restoring it. Please let me know what steps I need to take or any information you require from me to proceed. Thank you so much for your help during this stressful time.Solved67Views0likes5CommentsI had linked my Apple ID to a now deleted Dropbox account and I can't use it to create a new one.
Dear Dropbox Support Team, I previously used Dropbox and had linked my account to my Apple ID. However, I deleted that account years ago. Since then, I’ve been unable to create a new account on iOS using “Sign in with Apple” or link my Apple ID to an account with the same email address. Every attempt results in an error message with ERROR 500, even when I try different email addresses or use Apple’s “Hide My Email” feature. It seems my Apple ID is now completely unable to use Dropbox, which is causing significant disruptions to my workflow. I would appreciate any guidance on resolving this issue. Thank you for your support! Best regards, HuaDeity150Views0likes11CommentsI need to delete the Dropbox Sign account I'm paying for, but I can't sign in.
I was charged a £168 yearly subscription fee for Dropbox sign, which I no longer use and didn't even realise I had to pay for. This is likely my fault, but I desperately need to delete the account and it won't let me login. The chat bot is totally not useful and I'm finding this super stressful. Please someone FROM DROPBOX respond to this ASAP. Thank you.30Views0likes1CommentI wanted to cancel my Business trial and ended up deleting my Dropbox account instead.
No clue what happened, so going to lay everything out here. Have a personal professional DB account, and upgraded to business as a trial, a business with 1 user. This creates two folders, your old personal file and the team folder. I didn't like how personal files are so close to business, i basically have my entire life in DB so wanted more separation and would recreate a business team account with my work email. Go into the business trial and cancel the trial. Which prompts you what would you like to do with the team files. There were no team files, I just created the account 5 min ago. There was only my personal files in a separate folder. So i hit delete permanently. My entire account is gone. It appears it permanently deleted everything and my account now says suspended if I try and login with my original email. I have a support ticket in, but currently freaking out as my entire life is in that Dropbox. I'm very tech savy and felt like that entire process was a disaster. If i have a personal account, and create a team, common sense would be the business and personal are separate files and not together. So once you close the team, you just go back to your personal account. Especially since my personal account was being upsold as "Give this a trial for 30 days"48Views0likes5CommentsI see no option to cancel the Backup trial I received via Seagate for my Dropbox account.
I signed up using Seagate's free 6 months trial option, but it just gives 2GB data and says they'll take $70 after trial ends. I don't want that, I want to cancel the subscription trial and delete my account. I am pretty good with technology, so I know how to cancel it but there is no option to do it in dropbox in my account. Nor am I able to delete my credit card details from the account. Kindlly help me with this. By any chance, if any money is taken out from my account, I am definitely gonna sue drop box for delibirately forcing customers to pay for something they don't want. I accidentally signed in with a different email address and now every time I try to log-in it does it with that email address, on my computer. I'd like to delete this email address/ account - so it will hopefully open with the email address I've always used. (Computer did some massive "upgrade" for outlook and caused all of this.)
