Dropbox Basic
60 TopicsI was signed out of my Dropbox account, but now I no longer have access to the email address.
i was sent photos via a dropbox link to my current email address, and as i went to open the email i unintentionally logged out of my dropbox account that was linked with my old college email. the email is no longer active, even if i had the password the email does not exists but i just never logged out of it or synced the account to my current email address. so everything i have been saving has gone to my dropbox account that is linked to my old college email, so it has all of my film photos since i was 22. i just need to get into the old dropbox account to sync the files with my current email! is this possible?41Views0likes1CommentSomeone has asked me for access to my Dropbox account and left a comment on a file
I need to know what to do because someone has asked me for access to my Dropbox account, but I don't know who it is, and what's more, he's from another country. He has left a comment in a file "a.png" saying "hi". They are two users with these names: removed. Please can you tell me if my account has been compromised. So far I have changed the password, and I have not opened the files with the notification. Thank you very much for your help.1.2KViews0likes7CommentsWe need to access a deceased user's account to make a folder private.
Hi Dropbox Community, We have a Scout leader who passed away. He had shared a Dropbox folder that has pictures of old members, and we are a bit concerned from a GDPR perspective that these are available without needing an account access. We do not have access to the Dropbox, but would like to request the folder is made private. I have read the documentation here: https://help.dropbox.com/account-settings/access-account-of-someone-who-passed-away But it says I need to "create a support ticket", but I believe I can only do that if I upgrade my plan from a basic to a Dropbox Plus, Professional, Essentials: https://help.dropbox.com/account-settings/customer-support-levels So, how do I create a ticket for a potential GDPR issue, without paying for an account. Seems a bit counterintuitive? Any questions, please let me know.Solved143Views0likes3CommentsI need help accessing my Dropbox account, since I no longer have access to the email.

Hello everyone, sadly I had to come her for help with a simple task. I had a free account for a while using a gmail username, but I upgraded last year to Dropbox+ using a different email username. However the free account seems to take over when I sign in and I need to delete it, but reading Dropbox instructions I will lose all my files and folders. My question is will I lose everything by deleting the original free 2GB account? Thanks in anticpatioin!60Views0likes1CommentDowngrading from Dropbox Business to Dropbox Basic doesn't allow me to use Dropbox anymore
Hello, I write here about my problem with the hope somebody can help me. I always used Dropbox Basic with 2GB storage. With the same Dropbox profile I upgraded to Dropbox Business for me and my team in the office 4 years ago (6 persons in total). This month I stopped Dropbox Business since we started to use a physical storage in the office â before downgrading I deleted all the files from my Dropbox Business. Now I thought I could keep using my Dropbox Basic with 2GB storage but all the files I deleted are still in the bin and I canât permanently deleted them. Somehow itâs written that I am still using 53GB of space but I canât get rid of these files because I have no authorization anymore. I guess these files will remain in the bin for few months and probably they block my Dropbox Basic storage. Should I open a new Dropbox Basic account with another mail? Or is there a possibility to solve my issue? With Dropbox Basic I canât even get in contact with the support and somehow Iâm stucked... I am very grateful for any help - thank you!Solved155Views0likes5CommentsI don't have access to my email to receive the 6 digit code. Can I receive it in another way?

I recently checked my business bank account, and was surprised to find 3 identical charges for $19.99 from dropbox, all on the same day, with different transaction IDs. I've used the lookup tool to try and identify these transactions, but apparently the transaction IDs aren't even recognized by dropbox, as they're too short. I've tried to find a phone number to call for dropbox to help me understand these apparently fraudulent charges, but since I don't pay for a dropbox account, I'm not allowed that information, so I'm posting here for assistance. Can someone please contact me to assist in resolving this issue? I've already contacted my bank and disputed the transactions and cancelled my card, I just want to be sure I'm reimbursed for these charges, and want Dropbox to be aware of this issue out there, as I suspect I'm not the only person dealing with this.191Views0likes1Comment
