Dropbox Plus
27 TopicsWhat is Dropbox Analytics?
I have recently had a couple of Emails from Dropbox telling me that the free trial of Dropbox Analytics was about to end and the last one to say that it had ended. I wasn’t even aware that I was on a free trial for this product. It also states that I cannot now add new files to my Dropbox although I can access existing files. I pay annually for Dropbox Plus so why are Dropbox saying that I now can’t add new files?73Views0likes3CommentsCan I purchase 1 more TB for my Plus account to reach 4TB?
Good morning, I currently have a Dropbox Plus account. I've already included a 1TB add-on with this. Now it's starting to fill up as well, and I'd like to add an extra TB to a total of 4TB. I don't see the need to switch to a Professional account, where I have to pay directly for 3 users, while I don't use this. is there a way to extend my Plus account? Thanks in advance.589Views0likes9CommentsHow can I check my storage on Dropbox?
Hello all, Dropbox added me in a free trial I did not request. I had free 2 GB now they want $11.99/month for 2 TB. I am a sole user and will never need that. If I transfer some files elsewhere like my free Google Drive, how can I check my storage on Dropbox as I delete enough files to get back under 2 GB? Can I continue to use my free account then? How please. Thank you.Solved2KViews1like5CommentsStorage disappeared after free trial
My account is using just over 5 GB and has been that way more or less for at least the past 5 years without any trouble. I'm not sure what my total capacity was but I had lots of space available. Since I allowed the free trial of Dropbox Plus, and I didn't pay to continue it, my total storage has dropped down to 2 GB so I am 3 GB over. I did not change anything from my end but Dropbox has reduced my storage for no reason that I can see.241Views0likes3CommentsReferral showing as complete but 1 gb not showing in my space.
Hi All - I upgraded my basic free account to the plus today and also sent a referral link to a friend who signed up. I received an email that my friend signed up and that I'm getting an additional 1GB (which I thought should be higher with the plus account) and it's saying my total amount is now 2 TB which is what I already have with my plus account. Can anyone assist? Also as a side note, why don't have access to send messages to the support team with my plus account? Thanks, N433Views0likes4CommentsMacOS Dropbox folder location change and free disk space discrepancy
Apparently Apple started requiring File Providers like Dropbox to move their folders to ~user/library/cloudstorage, leaving only a folder alias at the original location. This caused problems in the beginning with file searches but these finally got sorted out. What is strange is that I recently replaced my laptop and after reinstalling Dropbox, the new default folder location is where it originally was, not in library/cloudstorage, and it's no longer an alias. I'd like to change this on my [older] home computer but I'm not sure if this is wise or even supported. I should mention that I'm running the newest Dropbox beta release, and the Dropbox helpdesk is encouraging me to reinstall Dropbox using the latest 'stable' build and not the beta. Does anyone have any experience with this? Second issue is a question of free disk space. I use PathFinder instead of the Mac Finder but these two utilities give different values for the remaining free space on disk. When determining the amount of free space, the Mac Finder seems to ignore the Dropbox folder entirely wherever it might be whereas PathFinder does include it. In other words, the Mac Finder [erroneously] lists an additional amount of free space equivalent to the size of the Dropbox folder. The Mac Disk Utility agrees with PathFinder's assessment of the amount of free space. Does anyone understand why this happens?2.2KViews0likes7CommentsMaking space on my computer with online-only files
My computer has ran out of space. The space is taken up by DropBox. I used the hard drive manager to set some files to online only, I think I even set some folders that way. There are check marks and it said it did that, but it didn't give me the space that it said it would create. I am unsure if this is because DropBox has not had room to Sync? Or some other reason. I don't need all my files to be accessed on my Computer, and I can't figure out how to make things work again : Any ideas?411Views0likes1CommentUpgraded plan to Plus, but storage still only says 2GB
I just bought and upgraded my basic plan to the Plus plan, but my storage says I still only have 2GB. I also still do not have access to the help features even though I upgraded, so I cannot access those either to get help in what to do. How do I get my storage to upgrade to 2TB instead of 2GB?526Views0likes1Comment
