Dropbox Sign
6 TopicsSelect multiple documents in Drobox Sign "your documents" list for bulk actions (deleting, etc.)
In the "your documents" section of Drobox Sign, users have the options to send reminders for unsigned documents, download, share, delete, etc. However, we can only do this on each individual document. What I'd like to suggest is the option to select multiple documents (maybe even a "select all" for the current filter) to allow bulk actions. I'm picturing something like most email clients have for emails: either checkboxes or shift-clicking, then "mark all as read" and "delete all", etc. In particular, I have at least 19 pages of documents (15 per page) dating back as far as 2021 that I no longer need. I'd love to delete them all, not only due to the clutter I see but I'm sure they take up some amount of storage on Dropbox's servers. However, asking me to manually delete each document individually is just unrealistic when it takes several seconds to click the "more options" three dots, click delete, confirm the popup, and wait for the page to reload. It'd probably take me the better part of a day, even assuming I didn't have other work to attend to. It would also be helpful if the "your documents" section had more filtering options than just document status and search terms. Filtering by date and by template used would be a good start. I'd also like to recommend giving the user some means of categorizing the documents in the "your documents" section, rather than just placing everything in a very, very long list. Either folders we can place documents in, or a tag system, or both.15Views0likes1CommentSigners should be able to cancel pending signature requests (even the ones sent by template links).
Dear DropBox Community, Would it be nice to be able to decline/cancel signature requests, even if the sender sent them via a template link? No more needing to contact people who you don't want to contact who sent documents that you don't want to sign. For context, I tried to cancel/decline 3 documents that are pending my signature because I do not want to sign them and I do not want to contact the signer. When I contacted the DocuSign help team and sent screenshots, they told me that the senders cancelled their accounts and that I cannot decline the documents because they were initiated via a template link. Let's get them to fix this ASAP! I included the message from customer support below. Kind regards, Vasco You don't have the ability to decline because it was initiated via a template link. For template link requests the option to decline the request is unfortunately not available to the recipient. This is expected behaviour, as template link requests are designed differently from standard or bulk send requests. Because of this setup, only the sender has the ability to cancel the request—they control the workflow since the document is generated directly from a link rather than being individually addressed. Our documentation for decline options is only for non template link requests. If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reply to this email.103Views1like3CommentsEnhancement: Include Form Names in Signature Audit via API
urrently, the Signature Audit data available through the API includes file names associated with signed documents. While this provides basic traceability, it can be difficult for users to easily identify which form each file name corresponds to—especially when multiple forms share similar naming conventions or when file names are system-generated. To improve usability and transparency, it would be beneficial for the API response to include the form names alongside or in place of the file names. Proposed Enhancement: Update the Signature Audit API response to include the form name for each document or file entry. Maintain the existing file name field for backward compatibility, but add a new attribute such as formName or form_display_name. Ensure the form name corresponds to the display name as configured in the form settings within the system.49Views0likes1CommentDelete docs in signatures
This idea included below was discarded by your team for lack of activity. However, I did see that my idea received 2 positive votes by other customers. I can certainly understand shelving the idea because you have bigger fish to fry. But to discard it outright makes no sense to me. This is not an idea so much as it is an observation of an obvious oversight. Not being able to delete docs that you no longer wish to store on a data storage platform that charges for data storage is a glitch that needs to be fixed. Please reconsider this "idea." Thanks. ============================ When I have completed an e-signature process on a doc and have saved the signed doc elsewhere, I would like to be able to delete that doc from the signatures section of the platform. At present, I am not able to do that. I use that section of the platform to manage my doc signature process and be able to instantly see which docs are in process. Once the doc has been signed, I no longer want to see that doc in that section. It gets cluttered. Plus, the platform charges for data storage. So the idea that I can't delete docs that I no longer wish to store lacks a certain aesthetic to the platform experience overall.196Views2likes5CommentsAllow us to use bold/italic/underlines for the textbox etc fields in Dropbox Sign templates.
There is no selection to change fields to Bold/ Italic/ Underline which are basic functions for letter template. Is it possible to allow these formatting to fields like textbox, date signed etc in the creation of dropbox sign template?109Views0likes2CommentsDelete docs in Signatures
