Dropbox Plan basic Payment Method CC How did you upgrade? Didn't Question or Issue I have a Dropbox account. There is nothing in it - not even the tutorials. I keep getting notifications that my storage is full and that I need to upgrade. One of the threads asked a user if there was a second account that could be full. How do I find out if a second account exists for me?Solved33Views0likes3CommentsDropbox says "not enough space" even though I have only 1 file in my account.
Hello, I cannot understand why dropbox says "not enough space" even though I have 2 GB and only 1 file with 35kb is saved. This is the first time since many years that this happens. 😕 Thank you for your assistance! I currently have the basic plan. I invited someone to join so I have 3 GB allotted to me. I am currently only using 1.12 GB. This shows in my profile. A friend sent me an important file today, and I am unable to open it. I get an error that says I am out of space and I need to upgrade for $11.99 a month. I saw another post that referred to checking backups and I did verify that I have nothing backed up. I was at 1.3 GB, so I deleted a few photos that were saved. And now I’m down to 1.12 GB. Why am I not able to open this new file? There should be no problem as these are our family Christmas photos. The same person takes them every year, the file size should be about the same as the last five years that are already saved in dropbox. So this file should be nowhere near large enough to use up the remaining amount of storage. I need to access these files so that I can get photos printed for Christmas for family that we’re going to visit. Time is of the essence. Can you please help me??32Views0likes1CommentDropbox tells me that I'm over-quota, but I only see 2.4GB of files.

Dropbox tells me that I use 3.03GB of 3GB. However, I can see that my dropbox folder has 2,4GB. I have checked the cache as well and it is empty. Is there a bug or something that I miss? Thanks in advance!Solved94Views0likes4CommentsDropbox mails says I'm out of space, but I'm using only 17%.
Dropbox Plan Basic Device Macbook Air M2 Operating System/Browser (if using the web) MacOS 26.0.1 Dropbox App Version (if using the app) Question or Issue Some time ago Dropbox notified my that my storage was above threshold because another user shared some huge files with me. I quickly deleted those files and several other and now my storage use is now down to 16,64%. However, Dropbox keeps sending me mails insisting that I need to upgrade my plan in spite of my low storage usage. It been a few weeks since I lowered my usage to 16,64% but the out of space-mails keep coming. How do I make this stop? Support rejects my question and has closed the ticket #25687729: Submission from Get Help228Views0likes11CommentsMy referral was marked as ineligible, even though we used a brand new computer.
Hi, I just set up my Dad's brand new computer we bought from Lenovo and I referred him to Dropbox. Followed all the steps and it says he is ineligible. This is a new computer (not refurbished etc) that has not have dropbox installed before and he has never had a dropbox account before. What went wrong?119Views0likes9CommentsI'm getting storage space warnings, and can't view shared files, even though I have space.
I’m hoping someone from Dropbox Support or the community can help clarify this. Legacy Dropbox account with 5.75 GB of storage. I earned the additional space years ago through referral bonuses for getting others to sign up. Recently, my account appears to be truncated back down to 2 GB, and I’m getting storage-limit warnings and can't view shared files despite having additional capacity. It looks like some new systems weren't designed to support the referral-based bonus space. I’ve attached a screenshot showing the original 5.75 GB allocation. Has anyone else run into this? And Dropbox Support -could you help unlock the full 5.75 GB that should still be associated with my account? Dropbox Plan Basic Device Windows laptops and PC Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Windows 11 I'm on Dropbox basic But because I've recommended a number of people to the service, I have a storage capacity of 8.5 gb. I am currently using 2.5 gb. But I am repeatedly getting error messages saying I've exceeded my allowance and my files are no longer syncing. As I'm on Basic, there doesn't seem to be any way for me to contact Support to resolve this issue. Any suggestions?54Views0likes2CommentsI sent a referral to one of my students, but it's once again ineligible.
Sorry to have to raise a similar issue again. As promised, I am continuing to recommend Dropbox to my students and their parents, and now sending the referrals via my Referrals page. Today I recommended Dropbox to one of my students, while he was here with his laptop, so I could see and make sure that everything was done right. He had never installed or used Dropbox before. He clicked on my referral link and successfully installed the App. He tried to verify his account, but received an error message, saying that ''Something went wrong." My Referrals page shows his status as "Ineligible." I would be grateful if you could track down what went wrong this time and let me know? I am happy to forward a capture of the emails and error message... Thank you.271Views0likes18Comments
