How can I save or download all my files before downgrading my account?
Hi there, I want to stop the dropbox subscription for our non-profit organization but we have about 890 GB files . How can i best copy or download ALL files to a harddrive ? I have an old macOS Big Sur, version 11.7.10 in case that matters. I am not terribly tech savvy, a step by step guidance would be very helpful.. Thanks! Vera
Export folder of scattered files on Android to access from a third party app
Hello, I'm on Android, trying to access files from a third party app. I can't seem to find the files on the local device even when I have them marked as offline accessible. I see there's a way to export an individual file, but the large number of files I'm trying to have access to are spread through a bunch of folders and I need to keep the folder structure intact, so it's not feasible to manually download each file. Is there a way to get my Dropbox files into a folder that I can access with a third party app somehow? This seems like a pretty basic use case so I'm frustrated I can't seem to find a way to do it.
I can't open files on my Mac, after updating the app.
Device MacBook Air Operating System macOS Sequoia 15.6.1 Dropbox App Version 237.4.5655 Question or Issue Installed an update to the app yesterday, now I can't open some of the files (see screenshot). Some files I can open, some I can't. I can open them in the browser-version. Any ideas how to fix this?My local files won't open. I can see them in the Dropbox folder, but can't preview them.
Unable to access my files on DropBox! Have had a DB account shared between a work laptop + my personal laptop (both Win 11 + fairly new) for quite some time. Recently retired-Work laptop went away. Can't seem to access much of anything on my personal laptop now. When I go to click on pictures or documents, I get the following: Hmmm… can't reach this page It looks like the webpage at file:///C:/Users/pgand/Downloads/Dropbox/Documents/MetLifeCritIllPol.pdf might be having issues, or it may have moved permanently to a new web address. ERR_FAILED I really hope I haven't lost everything I ever copied here. I attached a SNIP from File Explorer-they all LOOK PERFECT yet I can't ACCESS ANYTHING. Please help if you can thanks ! If so, kind of deceptive of DropBox as all the copies went well ! Please help if you can thanks !
Can I view symlinks on the mobile iOS app?
Hi. I've had to move all my files to my local/internal hard drive and use symlinks within dropbox to keep them backed up but now i cant access any of them remotely. The reason for moving them is because it was causing me all sorts of issues when running the files directly from within dropbox / file provider. Does anyone know a way of symlinks being possible to view within the iOS app or website? Thanks
I can't access my Paper files on the Android mobile Paper app.
I am suddenly not allowed to view my own files in dropbox paper. Im logged in, reinstalled dropbox paper twice, nothing works. Any help? Im using the free dropbox version, on my Android Phone. It starters yesterday when i was suddenly logged out for no reason. And logged in again,a and then its show the error i am not allowed tto view. When i create a New file the same probleem appears.
