On Mac Sequoia, my Finder does not find Dropbox files.
Hi everyone! On my Mac I have a Dropbox folder which is automatically synchronized with my Dropbox online. I move may files from my Mac into that folder. I see the files in my Mac's Dropbox folder, and I know they are also in Dropbox in the cloud. The problem is that when I search in the Mac's finder, I cannot find the files. I can find them when I search via the menu bar app icon and find the files that way, but it's not convenient, I have to then select "show in finder". Before I could search in the finder directly for the files and the Finder would find the files in the Dropbox folder. What has changed? Why can't my Finder find files which are in my Mac's Dropbox folder?
I deleted my Dropbox account, but my files were online-only and I can't open them.
I closed down an old account and downloaded the files. I have since learnt they are locked..... the accounts have been deleted. Pretty angry this isn't made obvious, but anyway...... is there any way we can unlock those files?
Do downloaded files maintain the OCR function?
I work with blind / visually impaired people. For them, the OCR function is important, so the device can read the content of a file to them. I found out, that DropBox uses OCR for the documents, stored in DropBox. My question: My client wants to download her files to her MacBook and store them in the Finder. When she downloads pdf files, do they still have the OCR function?
Exclude folders when searching for content in my mobile app.
Is it possible to exclude certain folders from the search function? I have a lot of files in my school folder when I was in college but I don’t want this folder to be searched when I search for files. I use dropbox on my iPhone by the way. Thanks
A message about the desktop is not allowing me to see my files online
Hello everyone, After I login to Dropbox I get the message: Successfully logged in Now, explore Dropbox on desktop. And a button that reads "Open Dropbox" When I click on that button a message that reads "Do you want to allow this website to open “Dropbox”?" At which point nothing happens. I am unable to see my files. MacBook Pro 13-inch M1 2020
