File access
10 TopicsSecondary email says I'm out of space but I'm not.
I have a dropbox account with a secondary email which has worked fine for probably 10 years or more. Suddenly when i try to log in with it it says I'm out of space and only shows that i have a 3GB account, when i actually have a 2T account. I can login with my primary email just fine, but the secondary gives me the out-of-space message. Like I said, i've been using the secondary account to login for many years, what happened? I rarely use the primary email anymore, and I don't want my clients to be adding my primary email to their contact list. I want them to see my business email.13Views0likes1CommentI'm over my storage limit but can't access my files to delete them
I have exceeded the storage limit for quite a while, but both the website and app will not allow me to access the files to delete them. How do I get to the files so I can delete and stop the emails trying to get me to upgrade? Thanks44Views0likes1CommentCreate a "Folder Owner" Option for Shared Folders to Designate Who Takes on Storage Space Burden
Forcing users of shared folders to have enough storage space to make their uploads appears to be a bad design choice, which just so happens to encourage subscription upgrades. Having to send separate links for a File Request and a View-Only Folder is needlessly convoluted. Please create an option for the owner of a shared folder to exclusively take on the burden of file space. I should not have to send my clients two separate links just for them to upload a file and then view the folder they uploaded to (without them getting warnings about their own storage allotment or their uploads denied). This inconvenience is so great that I am considering migrating to a different cloud storage platform.15Views0likes1CommentWhere did my dropbox files and folders go?
Hi. I have received a couple of emails from Dropbox saying my storage is all used up. That's fine - I can delete some files and folders and tidy it all up a bit. However, has Dropbox recently changed their storage options? I used to save loads of information to Dropbox and now it seems I can barely save a thing. I have the basic plan and haven't changed my plan. I am having trouble finding my files and folders. I can see two recent folders (which were a back up of my website), but nothing more. I've checked the deleted folder just in case Dropbox have deleted some of my files and folders, but that is empty too. Any suggestions please?464Views0likes1CommentMy free account has nothing downloaded. It shows use 1.4 gb, but I see no files.
My account has been open since 2014. It shows 6 GB of files "Not enough space to access the folder". We were paying for our account back then. Back in 2016 or so, we "lost" all our files. After many contacts with DropBox, we could never get an answer as to where our files went, so just gave up. Now, I see this 6GB of "shared" files that can't be uploaded because there isn't enough space. How can I see what these files are? Perhaps our lost 2014 files? How can I get access??? Thanks.742Views0likes5CommentsHave received a message from Dropbox saying that I will lose access to my files, if I don’t upgrade
I have received a message from Dropbox saying “Don't lose access to your files. Your files have stopped syncing because your Dropbox is full. Make sure you always have the latest version of your files across all linked devices by upgrading” I am a pensioner and cannot afford to upgrade at this time. I have photos of my grandchildren in my Dropbox account, that I don’t want to lose. Can anyone advise me on how I can save these photos.1.8KViews0likes2Comments
