Annoying pop-up notifications (running out of storage) - How to stop them?
Do any of you know how to stop the VERY annoying pop-up notifications that Dropbox app on Mac keeps on showing every few minutes when you are running low on storage? This is very annoying and I could not find any info on how to disable this specific notification, as there is no option for that under Preferences/Notifications. I have absolutely NOTHING in my folder, yet it says it's full whenever I try to drag something to it. I have the basic version. I share with someone who has the 1TB program and he has A LOT of stuff in his. But... That is HIS Folder, it is NOT MY FOLDER. So If this is the reason (which after reading a few other posts, I get the feeling that it might be), this is a total and complete BS program. How the hell am I supposed to control what other people do and have in their folders. MY folder is empty, that should be the ONLY criteria of whether or not my "DropBox Is Full." Expiry notifications that files will expire in 2 days, why is that?
I'm getting a notification saying my files expire in two days. I don't have any bonus space just a basic account of 2GB. There is 785 MB of stored files in my account. I thought this service was for storage and can't understand why anything under the 2 gb limit would expire. Does it disappear? Very disappointing if so. Notifications don't pop on my computer so I wouldn't have even known had I not checked the account. Why do I get this kind of threatening email from Dropbox that I'll lose access to my files?
I get this email almost daily: "Eligibility confirmed: NAME, you'll lose access to your files if you don't act soon!" I have 1,7 / 2.0 GB on my free storage. What do you mean by this message? I'm no native speaker, but this "you'll lose" is factual statement to me. But how can this be correct as I'm roughly 10% below my max. quota. How can you state something like this? Hi, I have received some emails that my account will stop syncing if I add even one file. I have been using drobox basic free since 2011 and my available space on my account is 9.88Gb which I have earned by inviting my friends on drobox. From this space I have covered 9.43gb and I have about 450mb left. Why do I get these emails? Will I have trouble syncing my files if I don't go over the 9.88GB that I have available?
