Boss's account got hacked and there was a file being sent out to view that was malware. Changed password on account but recipients are receiving reminders to open the file. How do I stop this reminder feature?Solved43Views0likes3CommentsCan my team receive a file request email when a document is added to a shared folder?
Hello, I shared a folder with my team and want them to receive email notifications. Everyone has access to the folder, but no one is receiving email notifications. I checked their notification settings, and all the boxes are checked just like mine (I, as the owner, receive notifications). What is the next step I should check for?618Views0likes5CommentsPermanently dismiss "editing is locked for this file" notification
Recently, every time I open a colleague's spreadsheet, I get this notification. I access this document every day. I NEVER need to edit it. So dismissing this notification every single day is extremely irritating. Is there any way to permanently dismiss this banner?30Views0likes2CommentsI keep seeing errors that my storage is full and syncing isn't possible, but that's not true.
Hi guys, I periodically receive errors that my storage is full and sync is paused. I am using Basic 2GB but received additional storage a long time ago. I have over 1.7GB of free storage. I tried to upload something and it is working - so the error message is not valid. Is it possible to somehow stop these messages? It looks like the logic behind it is just checking my current plan (2GB) and my used space (3.6GB). Any ideas on how to get rid of it? Thank you all!26Views0likes3CommentsHow to disable annoying "Upload Complete" pop-up
I have multiple Dropbox accounts for several different clients, and as such, I must use the Dropbox website for uploading and downloading files I share for one of my clients. When I want to add my files to a Dropbox folder via the website, I always get a pop-up box with a confirmation that my upload has completed. This pop-up box is very annoying. It takes up a lot of space in the lower left corner of my screen, and the only way to get rid of it is to close it by clicking the "X." I upload files all day long and this confirmation pops up every single time. This requires a lot of extra clicking so that I can uncover and see pertinent information on my screen. Question - is there any way to disable this notification, or at the very least change it so that it pops up but disappears on its own after a second or two?729Views2likes3CommentsIsn't Dropbox Violating the CAN-SPAM Act with This Email?
This is a spam tactic trying to sell me storage. The CAN-SPAM Act prohibits deceptive email practices, including misleading subject lines. If "RE:" falsely implies a prior conversation, it could be considered a violation.40Views0likes7CommentsI got an email saying I deleted many files, but I don't think I did such a thing.
I keep getting emails that say things like: "You recently deleted 69368 files from your Dropbox account. If you want these files back, you can still restore them until 7/10/2025. After that, they’ll be permanently deleted." I don't think I've been deleting files, so I don't know what this is about. Also, when I looked in Dropbox under the "Deleted Files" tab, nothing is in there. Please help, as I don't want my files to disappear.83Views0likes3Comments
