Hello, I am sick of the torrent of emails and red badges reminding me that I just created a transfer, someone downloaded the transfer I sent them to download, or the transfer is expiring etc. I want to turn off all of these emails with a toggle in the app. The numerous other posts and requests about this issue (dating back to the late 2010's) have gone unresolved, so I'm adding my voice here. Please prioritize fixing this problem! Or hire me to come and add the code in your backend real quick! My Dropbox plan downgraded from 2TB to 2GB. My uploaded files are 300GB, and I understand that new file uploads are impossible, but existing files won't be deleted. Instead,I'm getting a notification that files may be deleted. Even if my plan is lower, won't the files in shared folders provided by others be deleted?Solved81Views0likes4CommentsMy Dropbox account contains less than 100MB of data, but it keeps saying it's full.

Application Affected (Dropbox Desktop for Windows) Device (ASUS core i9 13900K with 32GB RAM) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Windows 11 24H2 build 26100.6584) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) (Uninstalled and trying to install latest app) Question or Issue I had been getting an update to latest version prompt. When I click on install, it downloads DropboxInstaller.exe. I double click to install and it gets to a screen that shows "On your marks..." It then hangs at that point and does nothing. I waited a couple of hours and then restarted the computer. Ran the app again and still nothing. I uninstalled the desktop app, restarted the computer and tried running the installer again. No luck. I rebooted, went back to download the software and ran it again. Stil nothing.169Views0likes10CommentsThe desktop app keeps telling me I'm running an old version. Dropbox Plan Standard Operating System/Browser (if using the web) Windows 11 / Microsoft Edge Question or Issue I keep getting notification that my dropbox is over the limit. when I look in dropbox on my computer or on my phone (android) it says there are 0 files 0 folders. It keeps wanting me to upgrade but I am not confident I would see my files even if I upgraded. Everything I've read says I should still be able to see my files/folders even though it says it is full. No one shared files/folders with me, I don't share files/folders with anyone.Solved102Views0likes3CommentsI followed my Camera Uploads folder but I don't get email notifications about it
I use the Camera Uploads feature on an iPhone SE, and then access the photos to list items on eBay, so I delete the photos after they’re used. I wanted to track how many photos were added and removed if possible, which the Follow feature looks like it should do, except I enabled it on my Camera Uploads folder 2 days ago and have not received any daily updates. I think I have it set correctly, and I receive other emails from Dropbox, so I don’t think that’s where the issue lies. Does that folder maybe not support the Follow feature even though it’s shown as an option?SolvedI got a popup on my device asking me to upgrade, even though notifications are off.
I have always left "Do not disturb" to on and disabled all app notifications in my windows 11 system settings. Today Dropbox posted a big popup in the center of the screen while I was doing something else. It was a notification that my free account was full and offered an option to upgrade or clear up space but no option to immediately close the window. It was also permanently on the foreground over top of other windows. I can't find any options to disable this from happening. All notifications in the desktop app are already set to off. This type of behaviour is totally unacceptable. If I can't find a solution and it happens again I will have to uninstall.296Views2likes7CommentsI received a Dropbox survey invitation on the desktop app, that looks suspicious. Is this real?
"Got a few minutes? Get $5. Help us make Dropbox better". The window name is "Sprig electron view" (so it's not even using the standard Windows notification service). Anyway, the only notifications I have enabled are: "files and folders shared with me" new files synced edits to files , so I don't think disabling any of them would help. What is going on? This is on a Family plan.Solved345Views0likes8Comments
