My suggestion is that tags be viewable in column view. Tags would be more useful if they could be viewed and a folder able to be sorted 'by tag'. Seeing a folder of files and not knowing which files are tagged until you select the individual file or search the folder makes the use of tags limited. My suggestion is to expand this feature so that files can be assigned and viewable to users in list mode.4.2KViews23likes7Comments
How do I download my Dropbox files and then safely delete them from my account?
I want to move all my photos/files from dropbox to an external hard drive, remove them from my dropbox without delete any photos by mistake or anything. This is to organize my photos and files properly, so I can use my dropbox as a temporarily back up for my more recent photos which is why I wanted to use dropbox as in the first place! There are several photos on my dropbox that doesn't show in my dropbox-app for my pc but I have a lot of old pictures there and I don't want to delete them, only remove them from dropbox and keep them on my computer. I have approximately 231 recent photos(on my phone) that I can't save on my dropbox because I don't have enough space. But I don't want to upgrade since I don't really need that much space. I just want to transfer them to an external hard drive via my computer. I'm not good in English, but I hope someone understand what I want to do and can help me!Solved110KViews15likes69Comments
Full File/Folder Name Display On Website & Mobile Apps
I use Dropbox on an iPad in landscape orientation. I would like the left panel to expand out so I can see the full file names. Truncated names are very annoying. At least let the name wrap. Seeing ... in the name is so annoying. Google Drive does it, why not you?9.5KViews14likes9Comments
Selecting all starred photos
I need to select all of the photo's that we recently starred. The only way I can see them all together is on my homepage but from there you cannot select multiple photo's and there are no checkboxes. Shift or control mouse clicks don't work. When I go to the folder I know they are in there is no way to sort by "starred" or filter "starred". A star appears next to those photo's which have been starred when I am in that folder but as soon as I click the checkbox the stars for all other "starred" photo's just disappear. I have also tried searching for "starred" photo's in the search bar but it doesn't come back with the correct results. I had my wife go through over 6,000 photo's to figure out which one's she'd like in our holiday calendar and she "starred" over 300 photo's. Also tried going into the attributes on the local files on my PC hoping that there was some tag that dropbox adds to these files that I could sort by but still nothing. If I can't figure this out I am a DEAD man LOL! Really not funny 😞 Is there is no way other way to do this other than opening each individual picture from my homepage and downloading them 1 at a time?Solved42KViews13likes27Comments
Exclude Photos and folders from The PHOTO Tab
Hi Dbox, this is really annoying that ALL pictures goes to the Photo Tab. I want to select what goes there. For example I diont want to have thousands of Work pictures in the Photo tabs. I want the photo Tab to be for my personnal photos only. Keep in mind this Photo tab is also acessible on my phone. so why should i carry non personnal photos? Camera upload from different phones into different folders
Hello, I have created a new folder "Camera upload Karla" where I want my wifes iPhone to automatically upload photos to. This seems not to be so easy, as Dropbox on a phone will only upload to "Camera Upload" folder. Is this correct? How can I make her iPhone upload automatically to the new folder? "files stay here for the team" prevents me from moving files from team to personal folder
I - a TEAM ADMIN - cannot move files or folders from a team folder, to my personal (i.e. ADMIN) folder. I get an incredibly annoying message "files stay here for the team". How do I get around this?10KViews9likes54Comments
