My suggestion is that tags be viewable in column view. Tags would be more useful if they could be viewed and a folder able to be sorted 'by tag'. Seeing a folder of files and not knowing which files are tagged until you select the individual file or search the folder makes the use of tags limited. My suggestion is to expand this feature so that files can be assigned and viewable to users in list mode.4.1KViews23likes7Comments
Full File/Folder Name Display On Website & Mobile Apps
I use Dropbox on an iPad in landscape orientation. I would like the left panel to expand out so I can see the full file names. Truncated names are very annoying. At least let the name wrap. Seeing ... in the name is so annoying. Google Drive does it, why not you?9.3KViews14likes9Comments
Camera upload from different phones into different folders
Hello, I have created a new folder "Camera upload Karla" where I want my wifes iPhone to automatically upload photos to. This seems not to be so easy, as Dropbox on a phone will only upload to "Camera Upload" folder. Is this correct? How can I make her iPhone upload automatically to the new folder? Exclude Photos and folders from The PHOTO Tab
Hi Dbox, this is really annoying that ALL pictures goes to the Photo Tab. I want to select what goes there. For example I diont want to have thousands of Work pictures in the Photo tabs. I want the photo Tab to be for my personnal photos only. Keep in mind this Photo tab is also acessible on my phone. so why should i carry non personnal photos? "files stay here for the team" prevents me from moving files from team to personal folder
I - a TEAM ADMIN - cannot move files or folders from a team folder, to my personal (i.e. ADMIN) folder. I get an incredibly annoying message "files stay here for the team". How do I get around this?10KViews9likes54Comments
New Drobox app is terrible!
If I wanted to look at the latest files uploaded to my dropbox, I'd click on the dropbox icon in my menubar (Mac OS) and click on the folder containing the file that was last uploded as the folder tree was right under the file name. On top of that I could right click the file name in the app, copy a link to these files and share it with whatever app I wanted to as the link was now in my clipboard. I could also go to folder the file was in simply by clicking the name of it etc etc and now ALL I can do is open the file. Who makes these incredibly stupid and unintuitive design decisions? Can I generate a list of my files and folders on my Dropbox account?
Good morning I am trying to find a way to show a complete site map / folder tree of all the folders and files in my drop box. The reason I need this is it needs tidying up and before I do so I would like to see where everything is so I can come up with an efficient plan to move folders and files to new areas?
