Move my Dropbox files from PC to external drive
Hi! I don't have too much space on my PC to download all my files via Dropbox Desktop App. My goal is the backup all my files saved to Dropbox to an external drive. After I copy the downloaded files to an external drive, how can I then delete them from my PC to free up more space without it syncing and deleting the files from Dropbox.com?
How can I move a shared folder I don't own out of my root directory?
I have clicked on a link to see a shared folder for which I have editing privilege. The folder is in my dropbox in the root directory, but it is no use to me there, I need it in another place in the directory structure. I cannot see how to move it, I can move the directories inside the main folder, but then it will disappear form the other peoples dropbox. I do not mind having two copies of it all as I have the space, but need to find a way to either move the main directory or the sub directory's to a different location within my dropbox without causing an issue to the person who shared with me and keep two way link enabled. I am doing this online in the web application, I do not use the desktop application, Thank you
Stop forcing users to have a 'family space' folder
If i needed a family space folder, I would create one. Why would you compel me to have a folder like that which can't be edited or moved to another space? I appreciate my dashboard showing only the things I need, its annoying to have a useless folder which I can't delete. It's giving Microsoft vives.We have a new Dropbox team, but there's an old team folder preventing changes
We have recently upgraded our Drop Box account so that we have 3 users. We need to be able to move the files & folders that are currently stored in some of these 3 individual accounts - to the new team folder. One of the users has an old team folder, that has one folder and file in it, but he is struggling to move this to his personal account, which will then allow him to leave this old team, and join the new team we have just created. Are you able to provide a procedure of how we should get this fixed, any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks
Searching IPTC keywords on the website: Why does Dropbox only kinda work?
Trying to use DB to store photos that have IPTC keywords applied to them. All information I find seems to say this should work, but when I do a search for a keyword only a few of the images with that keyword end up showing as search results. (Doing this via a browser window with Mac Safari) Anyone have experience with this? Why does this only kinda work? It doesn't make sense to me and is very frustrating! Am I doing something wrong?

Hi. Is there a way to automate moving files from individual folders so that all files are consolidated under one folder? In other words, I have, say, 100 folders, each containing only 1 file. I want to move each of these individual files to one folder, so that the one folder contains 100 files. Is this something MoveBot can do? Any suggestions? TIA. Jim
