I am not receiving my verification email. I have attempted this multiple times, on multiple browsers and platforms as well as my cell phone. I have confirmed with my email security provider that no-reply@dropbox.com is allowed. They see email from that address being sent to others in their system. I am also able to send email to my dropbox and it saves the attachment. I have checked my quarantine, junk mail, etc, and the email is just not being received at all. There are 2 other people with the same email domain that have just attempted creating dropbox accounts that are experiencing this same issue. One of whom is now working after the suggestion to try sending the email verification from a different browser. I have created a new email account, then created a new dropbox account (still with the same email domain), and I'm still not receiving the verification email. I have also tried sending the email verification from a different browser with no success. To add to these woes, your support bot is as usefull as a hole in a boat surrounded by sharks. Suggestions on how to proceed or just forget about dropbox and move on to another platform?3.4KViews0likes17CommentsI can't access my email in order to get the 6-digit security code. What can I do?
I can login successfully, but needs me to check 6-digit code in email. Before immigration, login dropbox never needs me to check 6-digit code in email. After immigration, it needs me to check 6-digit code in email. (same computer) My email account was disabled (long time no use and I forgot the password), I can't login to my email to check the 6-digit code. I only want to login Dropbox without check email 6-digit code, so what can I do? ThanksSolved62KViews4likes429CommentsI received an email from no-reply@dropboxmail.com - is it legit?
I just received an email from this email address no-reply@dropboxmail.com, with the following message: Hi there, If you're a user living outside of North America (U.S., Canada, Mexico), we're updating our Terms of Service to better serve you and the growing number of Dropbox users around the world. These changes include the fact that we'll be providing our services (including Dropbox, Dropbox for Business, Carousel, and Mailbox) to you via Dropbox Ireland starting on June 1, 2015. Please note that none of our services or features are changing as a result of this. You can read the updated terms at https://www.dropbox.com/terms. Have questions about these changes? It would be great if, when creating a password-protected link, a password with a preset length and strength was generated automatically. Perhaps the password that has already been entered could be displayed so that it can be copied.83Views0likes2CommentsCan I store adult content in my Dropbox account?
Hello everyone, I have two questions: 1, I wonder if I could store porn/adult contents (videos, photos...) on my account? I am willing to purchase a premium plan to store them for a long term. And I am not going to share the adult contents to anyone, not public, just private use. All contents I downloaded on Internet, of course not child por*n or something illegal like that, just regular porn. 2, If I purchased for 1 year premium and I uploaded many videos and photos on my account, after 1 year I stop renewing the premium, what would happen? Can I continue playing videos, seeing photos online, downloading content on web browsers? or I have to renew my premium plan to see and download them? Thanks in advance!!!Solved24KViews3likes2CommentsCan you password protect folders in Dropbox?
Hi folks, The Dropbox website at https://www.dropbox.com/features/share/password-protection clearly states that it is possible to password protect a folder in Dropbox, and has an animation on the page that seems to show this happening in a couple of simple steps. However, my version of Dropbox (the basic personal free version) looks nothing like that, and this Dropbox forum has a number of (possibly out of date) posts stating it's not possible to password protect a folder. Can this be done, or do I need to look for a different product? The options I seem to have around sharing and security seem to have are very limited. Even in a free version, I'd expect to be able to add layers of good security! Thanks, GlenSolved34KViews1like13CommentsHow does someone send me emails coming from no-reply@dropbox.com?
Questions about receiving an email "via dropbox" with a sender ID of no-reply@dropbox.com. I received an email with a current "send" date and time with instructions to open a pdf document, delivered with this email. It required a sign-in and password from my email account to see the document. The strange part is the message was from an attorney that I had a relationship over 35 years ago. Yes, the attorney is still practicing. My questions are how does one send an email "via dropbox" if possible. Secondly, this email did contain real ID's and email addresses of the sender and the recipient (me). I havenpt called the attorney to see if he sent it yet. I am more concerned on how you send and what is required to send an email "via dropbox" Any clues on this?17KViews0likes3Comments- 7.5KViews18likes37Comments
