I verified my email address, but it still appears unverified and I can't share my files.
Trouble verifying email- so I cannot share the folder I need to share. I have verified my email address multiple times and Dropbox will not let me share or copy a link and it keeps saying that I can't until my email address is verified. What can I do? I can't even chat with support because it says I have to verify my email address. I have tried it from 2 different browsers.
I accidentally joined a Dropbox team and I can't leave it now or delete my account.
Hi, I was just invited to join a dropbox team. The invite was sent to the email address that I use for my personal info, etc. I thought nothing of it as I just thought we'd have a shared folder or something, but it turned out it pulled all my stored dropbox info into this team. As a result, I quickly tried to delete all my personal files. It's moved them all into the trash, but it's saying I don't have permission to permanently delete them. It's also not allowing me to delete my personal account or leave the team. What are my options here, all I want to do is delete all my old info - but I don't seem to have that option with whatever I try to do?

Got a message : admin [email removed as per Community Guidelines] invited you to view the file "Annual Salary Increase Approval & Open Investment Enrollment.paper" on Dropbox. I don't know this person. So first indicator of spam through Dropbox. How do I block this user and report them to Dropbox. The method to do this through the menus accessible through my account is not clear. Thanks!

Hi all - I have a shared folder. If I have it set so that "Only people invited can access", how would that change for a collaborator? I see the note "This setting won’t apply to people who join this folder to collaborate" and just want to ensure that only people added can view/edit the folder and the link can't be shared with others.We can't change the ownership of a folder on our Dropbox team.
Hi, I'm an administrator for our Dropbox Team. One of our employees would like to transfer ownership of a folder to another employee. He tried, and then I tried at the admin level, and followed the Help Center instructions for changing ownership. When we open the drop -down menu showing who has access to the folder, we only see "can edit" and "can view" as options, not "make owner" as suggested in the instructions. Thank you for any help!
Has my Dropbox been compromised? A file was shared with me and it looks like a phishing attempt.
I received a notification in my Dropbox account which states - "Human Resources invited you to view the file Employee Discretionary Bonus.paper" Now this is clearly a phishing attempt but I am concerned about how this file got into my dropbox and even more so as I cannot find it anywhere in my folders. There is a file in there which I can see in the notifications and the search function - I haven't opened it or deleted it yet Has my dropbox been compromised and if so how can I re-secure my account? TIA

Hi there, I'm new to Dropbox. I was advised just now by the chat bot to search the FAQs relating to privacy and GDPR but the anwer to my query is not there. It was also suggested that I email my question to 'privacy@dropbox.com' - which I've just done. And I was advised to also ask the community. I had previously searched the community and could see replies saying that a ticket should be raised as each copyright issue is specific and there's not a general answer. But here's the question I emailed, in case any of you have had a similar specific question.. At my mum's private wake recently, we showed an hour-long MP4 video with family photos. We set it to tracks of her favourite music that meant a lot to her, such as some Walt Disney songs, some jazz etc. Mum's brother - in his 90s - came over from Austria and her sister from Scotland. They'd like copies of the video, with the background music, but the file is too big to send as an attachment by email. Am I permitted to upload it to Dropbox privately and share it with them that way? (privately). I only have a free account so I’m not able to pay to raise a ticket with customer support. However, I need the answer to this question before I even think about opting for an upgraded paid subscription. Many thanks in advance for any help
