Question or Issue
I have shared a folder and set permissions to view only. I want to give edit access to a single file within the folder, but when i select Manage Permissions, the permissions for all users is ghosted and can not be changed. I am the folder and file owner.
Is there a way for me to change edit permission of individual files?

Hey threshold007 - thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to the Community!
I'm afraid that there's no way to have a shared folder with view only rights and grant edit access to only a specific file in that folder.
If you'd like to set different access rights to some of your files, you'd be better off copying or moving them to another location of your Dropbox account (outside the shared folder) and share it from there with edits rights with the people you'd like.
I hope this clarifies matters and please let me know if you have any other questions.
