Space and storage

Hello, I'm a graphic designer with over 15 years of workload. This obviously equates to extreme files sizes. I was disappointed to learn Dropbox don't offer a package for single users over 3TB. I work solely and require more cloud space and don't want to have to upgrade to a 'per user' plan as this isn't cost effective. This option has to become available soon.62KViews188likes221CommentsHow do I locate large files/folders on the web (not laptop)
I have a free version with a limit of 16.3GB. I normally have about 13-15GB in use, so around 85-90%. This morning DB tells me it can no longer sync, and apparently I have used 32.5GB of my allowed quota of 16.3GB! Yesterday I'd only used about 14GB. How can I find out what these files are? Is there any to search (on the web as the laptop can't sync) for files or folders over a certain size? I've no idea what's going on but am now unable to use DB. Any advice gratefully received. Why are files shared with me counted against my space usage? Is this data counted twice? If someone who is sharing files with me is paying for this space, why should I have to pay as well just to access it? I am out of space, I have no intention of buying more space, and yet, when someone shares some files with me, I cannot access them and I am forced to buy space in order to access them. Why is this? Thank you.Solved29KViews4likes144CommentsHow can I cancel my computer backup?
I apparently selected pc backup when I installed Dropbox and naturally I'm out of storage on my Dropbox account now. I don't want and have no need to have my pc backed up to it. I have the desktop app but am not able to find the preferences section to stop it from backing up. I did try just deleting My PC from Dropbox but a message comes up and says if I delete "My PC" it says it will be removed from my Dropbox and from the computer. If I delete it in Dropbox, does that mean I'll lose everything on my laptop too? Sorry if it sounds like a newbie question but I am. 🙂 Any help stopping the PC backup would be greatly appreciated.Solved25KViews2likes58CommentsAccess to my files when my Dropbox account is full?

Help! I have a client that uses Dropbox and has shared a folder with me (4 GB currently). In order to access the folder, Dropbox said I need to sign up for an account. I signed up for a free account but now Dropbox is saying I can't access the shared folder because it is too big. Do I really have to buy a silly account to access a folder that isn't even mine? This folder is the only thing I am going to use Dropbox for, so I really don't want to have to pay for something I don't personally need. I'm doing this work pro bono because they are a nonprofit and would hate for either of us to have to pay more than necessary to just access shared photos and videos of rescue animals. Thanks for the help!6.3KViews1like4Comments
