Free team disbanded by Dropbox
Hi Team, Can someone please help with an email I received as below? Not sure what it all means The ???? Limited team has been disbanded by Dropbox. Your team’s folders have been converted to shared folders, and all ??? Limited groups have been deleted. Your account has been converted to a personal Dropbox plan. Hide folders from users who don't have permission
Is it possible to hide a folder entirely from users who don't have a permission to open the folder? At the moment, users who are not member of certain groups or are not invited to open a folder are not able to open the folder and see its contents. But there are some folders, most users (except our management) shouldn't even know about their existance so I would like to hide the folders in the directory view.Solved13KViews8likes12Comments
Inability to Activate Smart Sync (remote management software & third party pointing device drivers).
Any luck? I have a machine that I just updated to 10.13.4 and clicking "Allow" still does nothing for enabling the smart sync extension. EDIT: I was trying to do this via VNC to a mac that did not have a display, keyboard, or mouse attached. Once I attached those items, I was able to click the "Allow" button. Apparently you cannot click that button from a VNC session. Lesson learned.Solved12KViews5likes41Comments
Personal Folders in Dropbox Business
I'm looking at Dropbox Business and have a few questions about personal folders. 1. Can users covered by my Dropbox Business account create personal folders within the Dropbox Business structure or does an admin have to create them? 2. If users can create personal folders, are the names of the personal folders and their contents visible to everyone covered by the Dropbox Business account even if they are not shared by the user who created them? 3. Can an admin see all of the folders and files in a Dropbox Business account including personal folders/files even if they haven't been shared by the person who created them? 4. I understand that users can link their personal Dropbox accounts with a Dropbox Business account but, if they can create personal folders within Dropbox Business, do they need a personal Dropbox account?Solved9.6KViews1like4Comments
Way to stop Dropbox disallow people from requesting to join our team?
Is there a way to not give people the option to join our team? Every time I send a file to someone outside of my dropbox team (which is almost daily) they must get some kind of additional email telling them they can request to join our team, because I usually get a follow up email with random people who got the file asking to be part of my company's team.
