Free team disbanded by Dropbox
Hi Team, Can someone please help with an email I received as below? Not sure what it all means The ???? Limited team has been disbanded by Dropbox. Your team’s folders have been converted to shared folders, and all ??? Limited groups have been deleted. Your account has been converted to a personal Dropbox plan. How to share a folder with external users?
I am the admin of our business account and want to achieve the following folder/permissions structure. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to do this with Dropbox. (All users need to be able to edit. ) Top Level Folder (editable by team member 1, team member 2, external user 1, external user 2) Sub-folder 1 Sub-folder 2 Sub-folder 3 Sub-folder 4 (also editable by external user 3, external user 4) Sub-folder 5 Sub-folder 6 Simply put: a couple of people on my team and a few externals need access to a top level folder.... and a couple of other external users need access to only a sub-folder. How to leave a dropbox team
How do I leave a team in Dropbox? According to instructions one should: Sign in to dropbox.com. Choose your work account at the bottom left. Click the button by your team name: Groups and members or # members. Click Leave team. But when going to "groups and members" in my account, I can see the team, but there is no option to leave it. Possible email scam (claiming to be dropbox).
I just received an email from a person claiming to be with Dropbox Business. It was suspect enough that I'm not clicking on any links. I dont have dropbox business (just professional) so I don't think it is legitamate. To whom at Dropbox do I report this ? BTW, The email asks how my evaluation is going--I don't know to what it is referring as I'm not evaluating any dropbox products. _________ Here is the message content: Thank you for reaching out earlier! Hide folders from users who don't have permission
Is it possible to hide a folder entirely from users who don't have a permission to open the folder? At the moment, users who are not member of certain groups or are not invited to open a folder are not able to open the folder and see its contents. But there are some folders, most users (except our management) shouldn't even know about their existance so I would like to hide the folders in the directory view.Solved13KViews8likes12Comments
