Why is my Dropbox upload speed so slow?
Hello guys, does anyone facing problem with slow uploading to Dropbox? I'm using 1Gbps connection uploading speed max around 3Mb/s, compared with Google Drive with my connection up to 80Mb/s. Already tried upload via Dropbox web, Dropbox Apps, Cyberduck, Zoom Uploader and all speed still same. Transferring 16TB data from Google Drive using Multcloud also average speed around 3Mb/s. Why can't I upload files to my Dropbox account? I get an error that I lost connection.
I have used dropbox for years, I believe a new version was just installed and now I can't upload files. A simple video clip 848MB. It comes up Error and lost connection. I have internet connection so it is not that. I restarted computer but still does not work. I deleted old dropbox files, and still no go. I recently set up my Ipad and Iphone to upload photos to my dropbox account. This has resulted in my dropbox account being full. I do not need all of these photos backed up in dropbox nor do I need to access them from my dropbox account. I would like to move them to a folder on my Pc (running Vista). That way they will be available in the future should I need them, but will not be taking up space in my dropbox account. But I can't figure out how to do this. In the help knowledge base it tells my how to remove them from dropbox, but then says this does not remove them from my account. So bottom line. So, I'd like to know the right way on how to generate the link to those particular images so that the marketplace server can grab images directly from dropbox. High CPU usage even when not syncing or indexing
For the past couple of days, Dropbox has been consistently using around 30% of my CPU, when not syncing or indexing anything (i.e., the menu bar drop down says `Up to date`). Any idea why this might be happening, and what I can do to get Dropbox to idle properly? I'm on a MacBook Air, running macOS 10.13.6 and Dropbox 58.4.92. I am a paying customer and very frustrated with Dropbox. I am ready to drop DropBox and look for other alternatives. Since Friday of last week it has been trying to sync 100Gb in files and it is taking an eternity. Now is stuck in "Starting." I have rebooted the Mac (10.6.8). I am using Dropbox 3.0.3. I have tried going to Preferences, holding the option key and "Fixing Permission." I also read in the Internet about deleting the hidden cache folder but I have not done it yet since I don't know what to expect. I have dropbox installed on multiple devices and they all work fine, except it has suddenly stopped uploading on my windows laptop. I moved a load of photos off my phone onto dropbox on my laptop last week and only a handful have uploaded. The icon in my tray says it is syncing 405 files and has 36 minutes left. It's definitely not a problem with my bandwidth and I have checked the settings to make sure that dropbox isn't set to a low upload speed. I have tried pausing sync and restarting, I have tried closing dropbox and re-opening. I have also tried restarting my laptop and it uploaded 5 files then stopped again.
