Hi, I was part of a Dropbox team and received an email saying I was removed by an administrator. The team owner says she did not remove me and isnât aware of any changes. Nor does she know how to fix this. After this: A large folder of team video files is now showing inside my personal Dropbox These files are taking up my personal storage This was not the case before, they were only accessible through the team Iâm not trying to delete these files. I need things restored to how they were before: I should not be removed from the team These files should not be stored in or counted against my personal account Can someone explain: How I was removed without the owner doing it? Why team files appear to have been transferred into my personal account? How to reverse this so access and storage go back to the original setup? Any help would be appreciated.42Views0likes3CommentsExcel files missing data after a Dropbox update and cannot find it in version history
Application Affected (Dropbox) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Windows 11) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) (244.4.6580) Question or Issue Since the recent update a folder which contains some excel files is missing some of the data from the excel file since it was updated on Mon 23rd March 2026. Some cells still have the data and others are blank. This has never happened before and i cannot see anything saved in the older version when I look at trying to restore the file. Basically the 'restore function' does not even show an older version beyond Feb so it has just vanished. Can you help asap? Thanks Neil29Views0likes1CommentTell Us How You Use Dropbox

Shared folders are one of the easiest ways to collaborate with others while using Dropbox. Having a shared space makes everything simpler when youâre working on a project, sharing family photos or keeping your teams files all organised. But you might be wondering: Does this shared folder take up space in my Dropbox account? And what if I no longer need access - how do I leave it? Does a Shared Dropbox Folder Count Toward My Storage? It depends on how the folder was share with you and what level of access you have. Hereâs how to check: Sign in to dropbox.com and click All files. Look for folders with a two-person icon đ„ - these are shared folders. Hover over the folder name and click the ââŠâ (More) menu. Choose Share â then Settings. Youâll see one of these options: Can edit â the folders contents do take up space in your Dropbox account Can view â the folders contents donât count toward your space Tip: You can also check shared folders directly from the Dropbox desktop app - the 2 person icon works the same way there too. How to Leave a Shared Dropbox Folder I No Longer Need If you see âCan editâ and you no longer need access, itâs really easy to remove yourself from the folder. Hereâs how: Go to dropbox.com and sign in. Click Shared in the left sidebar. Find the folder you want to leave. Click the ââŠâ (More) button next to it. Select Leave folder â and confirm. Once you leave: The shared folder and its files are removed from your Dropbox. Theyâll no longer count toward your storage. Other members will still have access as usual. If you originally created the shared folder, youâll need to transfer ownership before leaving. To do that: Open the folderâs Share settings. Click the dropdown beside another memberâs name. Select Make owner â then leave the folder. That way, everyone who needs it still has access and the ownership transfers smoothly. And thatâs it! Keeping your Dropbox account organised is a simple way to make more room for what matters most - your ideas, projects and memories. If you ever change your mind and want back into a folder in the future, just ask the owner to share it with you again. Got questions about shared folders?
