dropbox business
39 TopicsPlease allow us to link multiple Business accounts to the Desktop App
I am a freelance motion designer and have run into this issue way too often. I have my own Business account that I use for my freelance business, but whenever I need to be integrated into another agency's company ecosystem, Dropbox does not allow me to sign into their Business profile while staying logged into my own Business account for local working/syncing on the Desktop app. This can be incredibly frustrating if I am working on several projects at one time, which I often do. It would be so righteous if Dropbox allowed the use of signing into multiple Business accounts at one time in order to avoid the back and forth switching and to avoid needing to upload files through the web version to ensure backups are consistent/automatically synced on both accounts. PLEASE! PRETTY PLEASE!47Views0likes1CommentA team member is not receiving our invitation.

We’ve made some big improvements to the Admin Console, and we want to hear what you think! Note: the Admin Console is available to team admins, not individual accounts. Managing your Dropbox team just got simpler, faster, and more intuitive. Whether you’re an experienced admin or just getting started, these updates are designed to help you work more efficiently and with greater confidence. What’s New in Admin Console Settings Take action and resolve issues fast: Quickly find what you need—settings, support articles, and team member information—all from a single search bar in the admin console. Simpler navigation: We’ve consolidated nearly 80 settings (previously scattered across 30+ pages) into a streamlined structure that’s easier to browse and understand. Global Settings lets you manage settings that apply across all Dropbox products (like Dropbox, Dash, Paper, Sign, and Replay) Dropbox Settings controls Dropbox-specific features (file sharing controls, storage limits, etc) Faster experience: Switching between settings no longer requires a full page reload. Everything loads smoothly within the redesigned Admin Console. Clearer design: Settings pages now follow our latest design standards, making it easier to see how different settings interact and to understand what changes will do. Why We Made These Changes to Admin Console We heard your feedback, and wanted to share what drove this redesign: To reduce frustration: The old Settings were spread thinly across many pages and were slow to navigate. The redesign makes finding and updating settings much simpler. To save you time: Faster loading, search integration, and direct access to key settings mean admins can spend less time clicking around and more time getting things done. To make setup smoother: Especially for new admins, the redesigned flow makes it easier to configure important team settings early on. To provide confidence: The new UI makes it clearer what you’re changing, when your changes are saved, and how different options work together. We’re continuing to improve the Admin Console experience and would love to hear what you think. Have thoughts, questions, or feedback? As a Dropbox Business user, I believe it's essential to have the option to store our data within the European Union, even for teams with fewer than 10 licenses. Due to compliance obligations (e.g., GDPR and internal data protection policies), many companies require data residency within the EU, especially in regulated industries or working with European clients. The current limitation that only teams with 10+ licenses can request EU data storage is restrictive and excludes smaller teams or startups that still have strict compliance needs. I strongly suggest that Dropbox consider enabling EU data residency for smaller teams, starting from 3 users, or at the very least, for any team using business-level licenses. This would significantly increase the product’s appeal for professional users with legal or contractual data localization requirements. We appreciate Dropbox’s commitment to privacy and flexibility, and we hope this improvement can be considered in future updates.622Views1like2CommentsBranding not working or showing
Hello all, So I upgraded my plan to the business plan, I have tried to use the branding option so the videos I share to customers will show my business logo and background image. I have uploaded both the logo and background images and they show up on the previews but when you go to the shared link it just shows as the usual plain dropbox view. Any ideas please.315Views0likes3CommentsCan I pair more than 2 two Dropbox accounts?
I'm a consultant and I currently work with two clients who use dropbox. I have 2 separate accounts as well as my personal one. I can only link one business account and my personal account to two different folders. Can I link all 3 accounts to separate folders?Solved133Views0likes4CommentsNo option for "make online only" when I right click my files
I have a professional DropBox account and I'm working on a Mac, OS 12.5. I have several files that are sync'd locally that I would like to move off my hard drive and make online only. When I right-click on the folders, however, I'm not getting the option from the drop-down menu to make the files online only. Any suggestions? Thank you!Solved11KViews2likes56CommentsHow can I disconnect my personal Dropbox account from a team to link it with my new account instead?
Hi everyone, I’m having trouble fully disassociating my personal Dropbox account (which I pay for and is under a different email and password) from a former Dropbox Business team account so I may link it to my new Dropbox Lumen account on my PCs. Although I’ve unlinked the account from my PC and am no longer part of the team, Dropbox still identifies my personal account as associated with the former firm team, which is preventing me from linking it to my new Lumen business Dropbox account. I need guidance on how to: Fully remove my personal account from the Flatiron team without affecting my personal files (these were never part of the team). Ensure my personal Dropbox account operates as a standalone account. Any advice or steps to resolve this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance, Mark312Views0likes2CommentsClose all Security alerts
Implement an option to close all (or multiple) security alerts: If you have DataLossPrevention and Sensible Data acitvated, you get freaking tons of Notifications. In this case I am 100% sure that all of them are not relevant. I have to open each individual of them and close them. Its not possible if you got 100+ notifications, it would take several hours.Solved674Views0likes3CommentsTeam members receiving emails inviting them to edit the folders I uploaded
