There used to be an ‘x’ button on the top right corner of each scanned page in the scanning function on the mobile app, but I’ve just noticed that it has disappeared with the new update. Since scanning whole documents in one go without any mistakes would be difficult to pull off, I’m wondering if there is any way I can get the ‘x’ button back. For context, I am using the latest version of the iPad app. Thanks!Solved7.8KViews0likes8CommentsWrite annotations on a drawing file (gif) using the iPad and Dropbox app
Hi! I go sailing on a long trip and use Bracknell maps to analyze the weather conditions at sea. Those gif files are stored (and updated) in my dropbox. As I do not have a printer on board - and we are digitally... off course, that's why we have dropbox! - I would love to find a quick way to make with my pencil annotations on the document (adding arrows, indicating a low pressure area... etc - free hand drawing), using my ipad. Till now I have even not found a feasible app to do this. A workaround is to download from dropbox to 'Photos' and then edit. But... then the edited file is on my ipad in the 'Photos' app and not in dropbox. My basic rule is to work always in files stored on Dropbox, not to make local copies. What are your experiences?2.5KViews1like11CommentsUnable to edit documents via Office apps on iPad
Previously I could edit documents saved in Dropbox using the various Microsoft Office apps on my iPad. This week I am now unable to edit or save documents unless I have a Microsoft 365 Subscription. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you rectify it? ThanksSolved1.9KViews0likes6CommentsSimple Drag and Drop on iPad app to move files
Ok - I’m on the Dropbox Plus on Ipad. I collect a LOT of images that I’m continuously moving from one folder to another within Dropbox. Generally it’s great - I just Drag it to the appropriate folder and it moves over! Awesome! BUT … when I need to go back (even a single level) in the file tree - I have to go through the whole ‘move’ process … and navigate from scratch to find the folder it is in! * HOW DO I drag UP - so it goes to the previous folder?? * OR See the File Tree in Columns (like in the Files App - which unfortunately has a host of other limitations Alternatively - are there settings or add-ins that can: * have a list of favourite folders as a starting point that you can GO TO - as opposed to the automatic ‘recent folders’ list - which go to that exact folder (it just ‘chucks the file in’) Any ideas would be fantastic My current work-around: * Yes - the search feature when moving is a huge blessing, but I’m sorting hundreds of images into different categories * Sometimes I just save it back to Photos, and re-drag it to the correct spot on my next sorting round. * I’ve yet to try using Dropbox and Files apps in Split screen - I’ll try that next. but am I missing something blatantly obvious?1.7KViews0likes3CommentsThe position of a folder changes after renaming files in it
I have a folder with about 1000 files. When I add a bunch of files to it, I need to rename each one to a specific rename. Before the recent upgrade, after renaming a file, it would go to the renamed file or stay in the same folder location from where the file was before it was renamed. Nos after each rename, the position pops to the top of the folder alphabetically. This causes so much extra scrolling and takes a lot of extra time. Id say this is more like a bug report than a how to question. I already contacted support and they know nothing and then directed me here — which is also useless I suspect because the number of users makes it look like a needle in a haystack.1.2KViews0likes8CommentsCan photos I delete from my phone automatically be deleted from Camera Uploads too?
My iPhone photo library is automatically backed up to my Dropbox (which is great) but I find myself having to frequently manually delete photos previously uploaded to Dropbox when I delete them from my iPhone. Is there an option where this can be done automatically? It's easy to accumulate thousands of photos that I no longer need backed up on Dropbox (such as screenshots) and manually deleting them can be very time consuming. Ideally there should be a rclone type synchronization feature added to the the Dropbox iPhone app. Thank you.999Views0likes3CommentsCan't edit Microsoft files on iPhone (iOS 18)
I can no longer (just since a few days) edit any files from Microsoft (.xlsx, .docx or .pptx) on my iPhone (14 with iOS18). I can only read them. I do subscribe on Microsoft 365 and I have always been able to open and edit Microsoft files from my phone. It works fine on PC. Also If I copy the file from Dropbox to OneDrive (on the PC), everything works fine even from the phone when opened from OneDrive. When clicking on the file in Dropbox asking for example to open in Excel, I get the answer that the file is stored on a Server which is not supported Please HelpSolved899Views1like17Comments
