I exported a .band file (GarageBand project) to Dropbox, then later copied it and tried to open it again on GarageBand. I got an error that GarageBand couldn’t read the file format. When I contacted Apple/GarageBand support they told me that Dropbox doesn’t save these project files on the right format. How can I get this file back up and working on GarageBand?Solved10KViews1like13CommentsI linked my account to my Oculus Quest headset but none of my files are showing

This is SO frustrating. I have a real need to download entire folders to my android device. For some years I have used the FILE DOWNLOADER FOR DROPBOX from Play Store. I had to reset my android device and now I find the app is no longer available. No other third party apps seem to do this. So anyone know whether I can do this from Dropbox these days (without accessing dropbox .com) or of a third party app?31KViews3likes13CommentsUser unable to access Dropbox files when using InDesign.
Question or Issue We are experiencing a problem where a user is unable to access a Dropbox file through Adobe InDesign. The project folder contains two directories — one with the content files and another with the InCopy file. Dropbox shows that all data is fully synced. However, when the user attempts to open the content folder file directly from Dropbox in Adobe InDesign, the image frame loads but the linked text content does not, and an error message appears This issue does not occur when the files are downloaded locally. in that case, everything opens correctly. We have already verified that the files are synced and that the user has the necessary permissions. Could you please confirm whether this is a Dropbox-related issue and advise on how to resolve it?76Views0likes4CommentsPdf not opening in Adobe when using Dropbox online
I have installed adobe acrobat reader DC, linked my dropbox account to it, and change the default program to open pdf files to adobe, but when I try to open a pdf from Dropbox online, it still opens in my edge browser (windows 10.)Solved22KViews1like10CommentsMy files are available offline, but I can't open them from OneDrive.
Hello I really hope someone can help me with this! I had all of my files I Dropbox in the desktop app on my Microsoft (Windows 10) computer. I had chosen to save files online and not local due to the fact the my computer doesn’t have enough GB. I then choose to move to OneDrive (also in the desktop app) and just cut and pasted my entire folder with all of the folders and files in it. It then took a long time of course to move it all and now the desktop Dropbox folder is empty and everything should then be in the OneDrive desktop folder. OneDrive said that it was done syncing but when restarting the computer it continued. I have restarted the computer several times since yesterday and it happens every time. I had just about 200 GB worth of files in the Dropbox and everything is moved but only about 60 GB of the files can open in OneDrive and the rest of them is not able to open. I have googled and found out that this method can be used but I should probably have saved it to the local desk and not only as online files according to google. When I open Dropbox.com now I see my files and I tried to download one folder to the local desk as a zip file but it wasn’t able to open. Now I am really not sure what to do or how to get all of my files to OneDrive so I can open them all. As mentioned my local hard drive doesn’t have space for it all and on top of that I’m not sure if Dropbox has still saved all of my files online and if they are even saved there since I deleted them in the Dropbox desktop app. Dias anyone have a good advice and a solution for me so I will not loose any files? I am in the middle of an exam so it is very urgent. Thanks in advance!Solved25KViews1like5CommentsHow can I save a Dropbox backup folder to Google Drive?
Question or Issue I've been receiving OVER THE LIMIT emails for years now re: my dormant FREE DB ACCOUNT so I just went and transferred all of my DROPBOX files to my Google Drive. But I supposedly still have 340GB in a video file (folder, actually) sitting in my DROPBOX BACKUP folder. But no matter what I do it refuses to drag & drop into my Google Drive like I just did with all of my regular files and folders. How do I transfer that backup folder to my Google Drive or can I NOT transfer backup files and must just delete? Thanks in advance for the solution! Hello all, I use Dropbox to back up artwork created with the iPadOS application Procreate. They use a proprietary format called .procreate, and I prefer to save in this format for maximum compatibility with the app if I decide to work on a particular piece again in the future. However, when browsing these files in the Dropbox app, no thumbnails are displayed, which makes it hard to differentiate between files (since I’ve neglected to give them descriptive file names, lol). I think this integration would be useful to many people who use Dropbox on iPadOS, because Procreate is a very popular app and digital art fills up storage really fast! I also think that this integration would be doable, if not trivial, for the following reasons: The native Files app can display thumbnails for .procreate files. People have made plugins to display .procreate thumbnails on MacOS, Windows, and Linux operating systems. The .procreate file format seems to just be a zip archive, so displaying a thumbnail would just be a matter of extracting the image from the archive. A Procreate developer on the Procreate forums stated that this integration would need to be done on Dropbox’s end. In conclusion, my workflow would be greatly enhanced by adding thumbnail support for Procreate files. :)130Views0likes1Comment
