"Display Limit Reached" message when trying to view my photos
Hi---
I keep all my photos on Dropbox. It's usually great-- I open the app and scroll back and go back literally years and years and years. If I want to see a photo from November 2014, I could usually just scroll back there (it takes a while, but always worked).
Today, when I went to do that, I got to the end of 2019 and then my app says "Display Limit Reached" and won't show me any more photos.
I came on to the computer to check from dropbox.com. Nope. Not there either. I cannot see or find or even know where to start to find my photos. THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS.
I pay for a subscription service. My account shows that I have space remaining (a LOT of space) so what's up?
Where are my photos??? PLEASE HELP!!!

- peter s.944 years agoNew member | Level 2I’m having the same issue. Is there a resolution?
- aa5924 years agoHelpful | Level 6Since when? This didn’t used to be an issue.
And I still can’t load them in my files tab either.
Please fix this.
Come on. - aa5924 years agoHelpful | Level 6Nope. They are less than helpful.

I have signed up to product called pCloud. It has an option to automatically transfer everything from your Dropbox. It took a couple of days for my transfer to complete. But as I was hoping would be the case, the photos tab in pCloud allows me to scroll through and see every one of my photos (over 170,000 photos), like we used to be able to in Dropbox. Thought I would let you know in case you are still frustrated with the changes Dropbox made. - Sandy12313 years agoHelpful | Level 6Hey Kate! Thanks for the info. I’ll check it out for sure! 😄

I'm experiencing this issue too on iOS and on the web interface on chrome on windows - It used to load a page of a few hundered photos at a time then switch to the next, but now I can no longer view all my photos - how can I access them?

Hey oconnorboston, regarding the website, are you referring to the Photos tab or the All files page?
And do you see the same on any browser?

Hello
I am no longer able to view my photos and videos that were uploaded before 2016.
A prompt says "Display limit reached. To view try searching in files"
But I´m not searching for any specific image. Rather the whole idea of using Dropbox was to have an online digital catalog where I could go back and see my old photos. Is that not possible? Where are my pictures now? Are they gone?
Kind regards, Tommy

Hi TommyZW, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Are you viewing these images on the Dropbox site or in the mobile app?
This will help me to assist further!
