For some months I've been using the "Save to device" function in the Dropbox iPhone app to send audio files from Dropbox to Pocket Casts so I can listen to them there. But lately it's not working right anymore. I choose "Save to Device", choose PocketCasts from the apps shown, and the file appears to download as usual. But formerly it would then switch to PocketCasts. Instead, now it stays in Dropbox, the screen appears to jump backward or recede, as if I'm looking down on a mattress that the screen has just landed on and monetarily receded into, for a second and nothing more happens. If I try again, it doesn't show any downloading, it just jumps back again. I did find a workaround, using "Share" and then "Export a copy", but I'm still curious as to why the old way stopped working. Any idea?Solved19Views0likes2CommentsAudio files are compressed/downgraded in quality when exported to iMessage.
I've noticed an issue with exporting/sharing audio files over the last few months, from Dropbox into iMessage. I often share audio files for work, and I go into the app, click share, then export file. Recently when I do this my audio files are getting compressed and severely downgraded in quality. I've also noticed file size going from 8-9mb to 2-3mb. The degrading of quality is a major problem. this bug seems to be continuing and would love to have it reported to the team!109Views0likes19CommentsApps in iPhone say my Dropbox is empty
Hello! Whenever I try to attach a file saved in Dropbox from an app (for instance, WhatsApp message, or Mail app) in my iPhone (iOS 18.1), the app says my Dropbox is empty, although it is fully synced in my phone. Interestingly, from the Messages app I'm able to attach a file and if I open the Dropbox app and select to export a file to WhatsApp or Mail, it works. I've tried disabling and enabling Dropbox from the Browse option, clearing history and website data and restarting the phone, and nothing worked. Any suggestions? Thank you!19Views0likes1CommentFile in Dropbox on my HP, but not in Dropbox on my iPhone 12
I have a cookbook in Dropbox so I can share it with my grandchildren. I created a new recipe today Potato Soup in Word and saved it to Dropbox. It shows up on my HP laptop where I created and saved it, but I went to Dropbox on my iPhone so I could create a link and text it to them, but it doesn't show up on my iPhone. The rest of the cookbook is on my iPhone.52Views0likes6CommentsMissing photo from shared folder after exporting it to my mobile device
Hi, I was trying to save a photo to my phone from a shared folder. However, when I pressed the 'Save to device' button and chose the album on my phone where I wanted the picture to be saved in, the picture vanished from the dropbox folder and it didn't load to my phone either. Can the picture be restored somehow and how can I avoid this in the future?112Views0likes1CommentMobile pages are not user-friendly for seniors.
I am unable to contact Dropbox customer service, so I am expressing my opinion here. Today, I was helping my mother share a 600MB audio file with her friends, trying to achieve a similar experience between Android and iOS using Dropbox. However, many elderly users rarely use services like Dropbox, and today I encountered some issues: Cookie Consent The annoying cookie consent UI, although required by international regulations, could be placed at the top of the window or as a small pop-up. It shouldn't interfere with user operations, as it disrupts the overall workflow. App Version or Browser UI Both the app version and the browser version cover the entire page with prompts, similar to many other services, offering no innovation. Couldn't a bubble notification be used to remind users that using the mobile app would provide a better experience, without blocking the entire screen? Is it possible to exclude certain folders from the search function? I have a lot of files in my school folder when I was in college but I don’t want this folder to be searched when I search for files. I use dropbox on my iPhone by the way. Thanks392Views0likes1Comment
