Solved

I can't preview photos in full screen on my Android device

Device
Samsung Fold 6
Dropbox App Version (if using the app)
456.2.2

I am able to see the photo preview and download the photo. However, I am unable to view the photo full screen on my device. I am able to do so just fine on windows and on the website though

UPDATE! Another fresh install after restarting my device fixed it! Archiving it did NOT fix it but that reinstall after a restart DID!

Though do we have any idea what causes the issue?

Hi Edward_L323, thanks for messaging the Community!

What happens when you attempt to preview the image in full screen on your Android phone?

Do you get an error message, or does it simply not load correctly?

Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!

This is what my screen looks like. It just stays like this forever.

    Thanks for the reply Jay.

Hey Edward_L323, thanks for your update here.

Can you open your Dropbox app, tap on "account" and then on the gear icon, choose the "clear cache" option there and then close and re-open the app, to see if that helps?

If not, uninstall it and then reinstall it and let us know what happens.

No luck. Already cleared cache, reinstalled and restarted device.

That's great news, Edward! I'm happy to hear that it was resolved. :)

Unfortunately, since we're on a public forum, we're not able to look into the backend of why that might have happened, so we don't really have much insight on that.

Potentially there could have been an issue with the installation, but in any case, I'm glad to see that it's been fixed and if you need anything else, please let us know.

    Cheers!
