Good morning, I recently bought an Android e-ink reader, and the internal storage is only 64GB, which isn't very much. It has a microSD card slot (up to 1TB), and I'd like offline files to be downloaded to the card, as the device has quite limited storage capacity and I'll be using large PDF files with audio. Any ideas on how to do this? Thank you very much.59Views0likes5CommentsCan I download folders from Dropbox to my Android without a third party app?
This is SO frustrating. I have a real need to download entire folders to my android device. For some years I have used the FILE DOWNLOADER FOR DROPBOX from Play Store. I had to reset my android device and now I find the app is no longer available. No other third party apps seem to do this. So anyone know whether I can do this from Dropbox these days (without accessing dropbox .com) or of a third party app?31KViews3likes13CommentsExport folder of scattered files on Android to access from a third party app
Hello, I'm on Android, trying to access files from a third party app. I can't seem to find the files on the local device even when I have them marked as offline accessible. I see there's a way to export an individual file, but the large number of files I'm trying to have access to are spread through a bunch of folders and I need to keep the folder structure intact, so it's not feasible to manually download each file. Is there a way to get my Dropbox files into a folder that I can access with a third party app somehow? This seems like a pretty basic use case so I'm frustrated I can't seem to find a way to do it.113Views0likes6CommentsIs offline content fully downloaded to my Android?
Application Affected (Dropbox App.) Device (Redmi Note Pro) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Android) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) (450.2.2) Question or Issue Hi. I've made a folder available offline. It appeared to download everything and most of the mp4 files play without hesitation. Today, i noticed it appeared to be buffering and wondered if it were an issue with the app playing the file, or was it because not all the content has been downloaded to the handset. The root folder has a green tick, as do all the sub-folders inside it. Thanks for reading. :-)Solved172Views0likes4CommentsNothing happens when I try to play .mp3 files on my Android Dropbox app.
Android Dropbox not playing mp3 anymore they were working fine previously. There is no error message. I press Play button and nothing happens. This is happening for mp3 files - they were working fine yesterday. I've rebooted my phone, and cleared cache in Dropbox app. Still getting the same issue.Solved363Views0likes15CommentsCannot play offline .mp3 files on Android
This is related to Dropbox on three different android tablets, 2 Samsung, one other Android versions 14 and 15. Dropbox is the latest version from Play Store mp3 files are played in the Dropbox default mp3 player when clicked. This works correctly for mp3 files in the cloud However: - Make the mp3 files available off line and the default player wont play the file. The player opens, but the 'play' button is ineffective and the music duration box shows --/--. The same offline files can be played with third party apps using the "Open With" dialog . This is a new problem as of Oct 27th 2025. Off line files have always played correctly up to now I prefer to use the default player as it has the features I like. Application Affected (Dropbox App) Device (Samsung Tab S8.) Operating System/Browser (if using the web) (Android 15, One UI 7.0.) Dropbox App Version (if using the app) (444.2.2) Question or Issue I have been having problems open pictures (jpg, png, etc) from the Dropbox app. I can see pictures listed in the app. When I try to open them, they just stuck at the loading screen. Sometimes they may load after a few minutes. Sometime they will load forever. The videos and other documents open just fine. I can open pictures with third party app such as Samsung Gallery with no issue. It seems like the Dropbox picture viewer is having some trouble to load content. I have tried to clear cache and reinstall the App. I'm still having the same issue. Any help to resolve this problem would be appreciated.Solved175Views0likes7Comments
