3 years agoHi Alexpre, I hope you're doing well!
It sounds like you're missing the Transfer option locally on your device.
Would you mind clarifying the version of the Dropbox app that you have installed on the device at the moment, along with its syncing status?
Keep me posted!

For me if you navigate and use the option from the tray icon it then shows up in the windows right click menu. It's like Windows needs to realize the option needs ot be added ot the mneu somehow. But for me navigating there from the tray icon a few times made it show up gloablly in Windows.

Dropbox version 178.4.4811
Its fully synced.
It does seem to be intermittent.
I also have the issue on another PC that is on Windows 10. - Megan3 years ago

Hi Alexpre, welcome to our Community!
If you could also send me a couple of screenshots of the options you see when you right click on a file, on your end, that'd be amazing.
Have you tried uninstalling, and re-installing the app by any chance? Also, when did you first notice that the Transfer option was missing?
Let me know more!

I've got the same issue. It doesn't give any Dropbox option when I right click on a file or folder in Explorer. Only noticed it today and pretty certain I've been able to do it before since installing Windows 11. Have reinstalled app, restarted PC, all the usual checks.
I have the same version of Dropbox as the people before in this thread

I would ordinarily have a dropbox option there with a right arrow which would allow me to then copy the link to share

Hi oneofthethree, do you see any Dropbox options when clicking on "Show more options"?
To generate a file transfer, you should be able to select "send a copy".
- oneofthethree3 years agoExplorer | Level 4
No dropbox options and nothing under Share either.

Hmm, I see.
What’s the current syncing status of your Dropbox app?
Also, you mentioned above that you’re currently on Windows 11. Did you upgrade your OS recently or has it been some time since then?
- oneofthethree3 years agoExplorer | Level 4
It says everything is up to date on sync.
Upgrade was September 2022

Hey oneofthethree, just to confirm, does syncing work properly?
Meaning, if you add a test file to your Dropbox folder, does it sync to your account online?
- oneofthethree3 years agoExplorer | Level 4
Yes, the syncing works fine.

Hi oneofthethree, are we talking about one device?
I'm simply asking because your initial screenshot, isn't the same as your latest one. It seems you had the option to "Show more options" on the first one.
Was that screenshot how things looked before the change?
- oneofthethree3 years agoExplorer | Level 4
the second screenshot is simply with Show More Options expanded as requested - there's still no Dropbox option.

Hey oneofthethree, thanks for clarifying that for us and sorry to jump in here.
I can see that you're running some other 3rd party apps that are utilizing your right click context menus. Could you have a look at this discussion and let us know if the suggestion there helps?
