Dropbox video-No Sound
submitting an assignment for homework. Uploaded the video, but there is no sound on the link. it only says preview, however, even when I do sign in, I get the full length of the video, but no sound.
Hmm, ok...
If you have the images, but not the sound, and that it's working when you open it locally, then we would need to investigate further.

I tried this and it doesn't work.
Why is there no sound with videos I share from dropbox - not cool!

Dropbox only provides previews on its website.
If it isnt working then log a ticket so they can work out what codecs are missing and look at adding them to the site. I just 'assumed' that sound on videos could be shared from DropBox.

I've been sharing videos the last few weeks and just today realized
that NONE of the videos I shared have any sound.
I'll be cancelling my subscription with DropBox.

If you do want to cancel you can do so at www.dropbox.com/downgrade. However, please remember you will keep the subscription space you have until the payment term runs out. You do not get any pro-rata refunds. Thanks for the response, but this is on DropBox - as a customer, I shouldn't have to waste time with 'testing' DropBox to see if it works or not. It smacks of false advertising if DropBox is selling a service that doesn't work. Get it fixed DropBox - I'm out.

It's not on Dropbox if you upload a video using a codec that they don't support or, possibly, don't know about. No single service or application can support every possible file format. If you're not getting audio on a video you've uploaded to Dropbox, then you need to tell them so they can look at why it might be happening.
The service works just fine and there is no false advertisement. I often share videos with their audio intact. The problem here isn't Dropbox. My dropbox videos have no sound. How do I get sound?
