How to disable online-only files, and make them available offline?

I use Emacs to edit my files and it doesn't trigger the auto-download. How do I force Dropbox to download all the files instead of keeping them in "Web-only" view? I changed "default sync state for new files" option to "Available offline", but that didn't have any effect on existing files, instead I see the cloud icon:

Hey there, yaroslavvb, let's see what we can find together!

Have you tried to right-click the file or folder you wish to sync locally, and then select Make available offline?

That should do the trick. Want to give it a go, and let me know how it goes?

    Thanks a bunch!
