Dear Dropbox Support,
I am attempting to export my saved credentials from Dropbox Passwords before the October 28, 2025 shutdown deadline. However, I’ve encountered multiple blocking issues:

4 months agoHi there Lewis L. - thanks for bringing this to our attention.
As you probably know, today is the day that Dropbox Passwords will become view-only and you can read more about it here.
That said, can you please clarify if you're using the Dropbox Passwords web browser extension or the mobile app instead?
Also, when you say you're locked out, can you maybe send us a screenshot of the error you're getting so that we can have a visual too?
Any additional information is more than welcome, Lewis.

Walter:
I am using Chrome Browser to access my account.
I was able to access my account.
I am sorry but I just do not know where to find my passwords.
I have looked under settings, preferences, follows and Notifications, security and account.
I just do not see my passwords.
All I want to do is to export them before they vanish.
If you need further information just let me know and I will provide it.
I am at my wits end and simply do not know what else to do.
thank you

Have you followed https://help.dropbox.com/installs/dropbox-passwords-discontinuation#How-do-I-export-my-Dropbox-Passwords-data ?
Note that you need to be looking in the Passwords app itself (as in the Extension on Chrome NOT the normal Dropbox app).

When I open the Chrome Extension, a page comes up which says:
"keep protecting your passwordsYou connected 3 devices or browsers to Passwords — that’s the limit on our free plan. Upgrade to continue on this device."
It does not allow navigation anyplace else.
I am not seeking to add a new device.
All I want is to preserve my passwords. That is all.
I do have Dropbox here on my laptop.
I deleted all Dropbox Apps from my iPhone.
I do not possess any other devices but after deleting the iPhone apps, DropBox extension is still telling me I have 3 devices connected.I do not have 3 devices. I do not know where to turn from here.
How can I determine exaclty what devices they are referring to?Somehow I just need to preserve my passwords.
Thank you,Lewis

I do not have 3 devices. You have 3 connected devices. Sometimes OS updates can cause multiple ones to be connected. Follow https://help.dropbox.com/security/device-list-remote-sign-out to remove extra ones.
