old shared link gives "That didn't work for some reason" error
I'm trying to access some files using public sharing links i've created long time ago. All these links gives the same error message with the sad dog picture "That didn't work for some reason".
I've cleared my cache, I've tried other computers, other web browsers : SAME ERROR.
There is an existing thread in the forum for this, but "replies have been turned off for this discussion". The solutions proposed by dropbox staff are all similar and useless. It seems that dropbox made a change to their code that made all this old links not valid.
if this is true : WHAT A SHAME FOR A FILE SHARING AND BACKUP SERVICE.
if this is wrong, could you please give me a working solution without having to regenerate all the links ?
hoping i'm wrong, thank you in advance, and happy new year

This is correct and something they've done a few times. It only really impacts those who use the links in a hosting capacity. If its a link to just a file that people click on in emails etc. it should still work.
