Hi Rich
Thanks for your response.
I can't get the error page up again, but I did note what it said:
"Error. Something went wrong. Don’t worry, your files are still safe and the Dropbox team has been notified. Check our Status Page to see if there is a known incident, our help centre and forums for help, or go back to home."
I will try the instructions you sent, once I find where to do it. Window 11 is new to me as I've used Linux for years, so I'm still learning my way round it. I'll get back to you later afterI tried to do as you said.
I eventually found the first message. It said
".ods files are supported but something went wrong."
With a box saying 'download' under the message. It's only giving me tthe option to downlad to Windows Excel for the web. I want it to download to LibreOffice Calc, which I can open on my computer, but only as a blank spreadsheet.
I then tried with another spreadsheet and it opened showing the data on it, but I couldn't save it to Dropbox.

It sounds like you're trying to open files directly from the website. Dropbox supports that for Office files, but not LibreOffice. If you have the Dropbox application installed and syncing, your files should be in your local Dropbox folder. Try opening the files directly from there instead.
