Admin required to delete shared files

When I get a Dropbox file from someone else that gives only the option to add it to my dropbox, I am then unable to delete it from my dropbox - I get an admin login box that pops up.  It may be a Microsoft thing, but just really want to know how to delete these files from my dropbox.

It certainly does sound like a Windows security dialog, rather than a Dropbox prompt. Can you post a screenshot?

It doesn't allow me to get a screen shot of the message that pops up but here is a pic I took of the screen that pops up when I try to delete one of the files that was shared with me as an automatic add to my Dropbox (I have no trouble deleting any of the files that I create there):

Hi Adryana, I hope you’re doing well!

Are you receiving any type of error messages if you try to remove a shared file/folder via this page?

Delete option is greyed out on that page.

That message is direct from Windows rather than Dropbox.

Have you tried authenticating it to see if it works? Stops asking?

Hi Adryana, this looks to be a Windows prompt, not a Dropbox one.

Are you on a company-managed device, or a personal machine? Have you previously amended the UAC settings to make it more sensitive?

We're going to run it by our IT people.  I'm sure that I did (or someone else company-wide did ) make a change to some setting that caused these shared files to require approvals for deletion.
